such a creepy film, definitely the creepiest i've ever seen! I watched it on the TV by myself, in my darkish lounge at about midnight when i was 15... Oh my god, walking down the hallway to my bedroom was so terrifying!

I went to see this when I was 14 years old in a theatre in downtown Miami. The entire film had a creepy eerie feeling but last 15 minutes of the movie, when Dr. Freudstein stalks the family in the basement, was very very unsettling and disturbing and his face was hideous and terrifying. For months I had creepy thoughts of him hiding around the back of our house in the dark waiting. I'm 40 now, and I added this to my Fulci DVD collection. Anchor Bay did a great job with it!

I saw this in the theater when I was a kid. I snuck in. I left after the killing with the firepoker. I didn't sleep for months. I wouldn't be in a dark room if you paid me. Years later I watched the rest of it. Now I think the movie is good. Creepy as hell, but good.

Back then when the movie came out on video ( think i was 13/14) i saw it once with a couple of friends. I was much to young to see a film like that so it fukking scared the shit out of me ! LOL :P..i couldent sleep for weeks..always thinking of Freudstein and his childish cry :PPP....but its truely a classic...im 33 now and wanna thank you for letting me get some sweet scary memories back :P

This is my favorite Lucio Fulci film. I love the gothic atmosphere. The gore is top notch too, as always. I liked the twist ending.
