Until artists decide to hire real tour managers and promoters actually promote shows that are well produced, then rap will never be able to enjoy the benefits of touring that other segments of the industry enjoy.
Take one promoter that cant draw more than 150 people for a national act, and one artist that cant understand that when youre getting paid 1000s to perform that it might be a good idea to get to a venue a couple of hours before they are supposed to go on, and this is why no one from major promoters and venues, to sound companies and other vendors dont want to work rap shows. DMX deserves better, and his fans deserve better.

Take one promoter that cant draw more than 150 people for a national act, and one artist that cant understand that when youre getting paid 1000s to perform that it might be a good idea to get to a venue a couple of hours before they are supposed to go on, and this is why no one from major promoters and venues, to sound companies and other vendors dont want to work rap shows. DMX deserves better, and his fans deserve better.

I am proud of DMX. He has been through so much lately with him being in jail & stuff & he is trying to change his life around. However, these stupid situations occur to test his patience. He realized that he needed to let his fans know that the security was getting hostile & that real police was gonna try to arrest people. He calmed his fans down so that no arrests would occur. I give him props for doing that cuz this was a charity concert. Even if he was late, security wilded out on him badly.
