@ThePresterJohn When a route doesn't have sufficient holds to be free climbed "aid climbing" can be used to ascend a route. The route in the demo is an easy free climb, this was just a demonstration.

there is activity that called AID climb
that the climbers use equipment to climb the rope or step on the wall (not like simple rock climbing)
