@Johan0Wagenaar No FD's Aka 3rd gen rx7's have nearly 300 HP stock. its like 270 at the flywheel. My FC has alot more than a hundred HP. Turbo rotarys are fast. NA's have about 100 rwhp. Also 100 HP on a bike is fast as shit. it doesn't way nearly the amount as a car. So any car that can beat a crotch rocket with 100 HP or more, is balls fast.

A friend of mine has a very fast supra but its knowhere when im racing it. a bike like mine is at 200 kmh (120 miles an hour) within only 7 seconds. Maybe the car would win when we have a roling start i dont know.

I doubt that is fake, the stock Ducati was rated 0-60 mph at 3.1 seconds and the stock RX-7 twin turbo for 92 was rated at 4.9 seconds. A 93 RX-7 with that exhaust and who knows what else could certainly pull it off. Plus, the biker has to try and keep that front end down which will hurt his speed.

It sure does sound nice as any car with rotary engine and they rip off some serious bhp's out of such a tiny engines. But... Despite of all it's advantages I'd personally rather look for something else than RX-7 or a car with rotary engine. That's because they still have a tendency for fast wear of some engine parts. In other words; they're not too long lasting engines. And I've heard/read that when something breaks down in those rotaries, it'll most probably gonna cost you a loooong penny.

@micarone sorry to be the bearer of bad news but my 13B lasted 200,000+ miles before my apex seal went. if you know how to up keep your vehicle then ANY car can last for years. my car is 20+ years old you name me a car that you've owned and it lasted you for 20+ years. however you are right about one thing the parts for the car are expensive UNLESS you know where to shop. Just said that they do have some issues what common piston engines doesn't have and would personally choose another choice than a rotary engine.... And yes... I can mention my 2nd car which was '86 Nissan Sunny (B11) with E15-engine and I made about ~249k miles with it. Just with regular services like oil and filter change, spark plugs etc.... And I sold it in "all going" condition...

@micarone KEY WORD "HEARD", as long as you purchase the right components cooling/fuel delivery/management system, keep up on maintenance, and get in the habit of letting it warm up and cool down, your rotary will last a long time. Nothing is more fun then driving a rotary with forced induction. Its a KNOWN FACT : )

@Djberimeister Wile I'm a fan of the RX-7 myself, if it was a standing start, I doubt the RX-7 would of won. The downside of the rotary is the spoil up time, meaning it's acceleration would be a tad slow off the line. Unless that RX-7 was a Twin or Quad Turbo.

who was driving the bike? I love RX-7's more than most, but most bikes can run a 9 sec 1/4mile. On a punch they would take advantage over a turbo vehicle.

I have raced 7 of my own personal RX-7's against pretty weak crotch rockets and lost to most. What kind of bike was this, cause that RX would run maybe 11.5 or so on those wheels and tires.
