The question is why would the police stop someone; much less point their sidearm at someone, for doing something that is not in any way illegal? If carrying a firearm openly in public is perfectly legal then doing so cannot me considered the reasonable suspicion necessary to detain someone much less the probable cause needed to arrest them. Police stopping gun owners open carrying legally then they have violated that person’s rights.
its neither, P3168, its called stereotyping and harassment. I take your a LEO, because you said disorderly conduct, its not disorderly conduct to wear a firearm on your side, but in fact it would be if you were going around boasting about the firearm on your side to everyone, that could be a bit alarming, but cops will say whatever they want, won't they.
"hey, Im a dork and attention whore. I gotta strut around with a gun to feel like a man. "
I carry but I carry concealed. Its my persoanl preference. You might not understand but I had an incident about two years ago that was threatening and I vowed I would never agin be in a situation where I had no defense. Maybe if you had an experience like I did you would not be so clueless.
HOOAH! jimitl5, I understand what u mean, I have been in a situation like you have been, I threatened to pull me out of the car through my window in pound my face in the ground. I ran a yellow light, and this guy thought he take the law into his own hands, he followed me all the way to a gas stationed that I pulled into where I was very well know at, in a good way that is. When he started treating me, there were alot of people there, but if he could have got ahold me, damn I would have been dead
