  • i always loved this, although i haven't heard it in many years. elton gets better and better!!!

  • A great song from an awesome album.

  • i saw him 3 days ago and he was amazing. his voice is still great

  • Ozzy Osbourne on his concert. OMG! Amazing!

  • essa music já me vez chorar muitas vez!!!!

  • Always been a favorite of mine. Love it the first time I heard it, and today I'm playing the Don't Shoot Me album on vinyl, which was one of my dads.

  • i'd love to be one of those choir kids!

  • how could you seriously not like this video? Maybe his most under appreciated song ever

  • He sounds as good as he did when he recorded this back in early 70's. I wore the album out playing it over and over and I still get down with it. I could care less who he beds---I appreciate the talent and longevity.

  • who da hell disliked it ?!

  • Ozzy and Sharon are in the audience! that's pure win.

  • Totally excellent.

  • is that ozzy at @1:58?

  • One of his best songs for sure, and i'm glad he likes it too. Elton's new album The Union, with Leon Russell, is superb

  • This very Show, I was there, and when he sang this song, i think it was one of the best songs i ever herd, and towards the end it got loud, because of the brooklyn youth chours, awsome show, hopfully i will get to see Sir Elton Again, i almost got to met him at that show, but i couldnt because there were to many celebrities, but i still enjoyed myself, concert 3 and a half hours great great show, ROCK ON ELTON, ROCK ON. Happy Birthday!!!

  • The white walls of your dressing room are stained in scarlet red

You bled upon the cold stone like a young man

In the foreign field of death

Wouldn't it be wonderful is all I heard you say

You never closed your eyes at night and learned to love daylight

    Instead you moved away

  • You wore a little cross of gold around your neck I saw it as you flew between my reason Like a raven in the night time when you left I wear a chain upon my wrist that bears no name You touched it and you wore it And you kept it in your pillow all the same My high-flying bird has flown from out my arms I thought myself her keeper She thought I meant her harm She thought I was the archer A weather man of words But I could never shoot down My high-flying bird
