What does Transcendental Meditation base its teachings on?

I believe in Christ Consciousness and that Meditation can be used positively. Re this video, especially in 2011, how much credence should we give our 'Federal Courts' with a US Gov't that has become as corrupt as humanly possible, within a pig-stye of Lobbyist control & affecting the 'entire' Gov't. Yet he wants us to trust their decisions? I trust the Protests to blame the corrupt.

@BradBrassman Maharishi never wore a wig. I don't trust this guy. I'm a Christian and if he is a Christian preacher then shame on him. He knows nothing about TM. I learned it in the 70s and I never belonged to a Hindu cult. He says because the federal court deemed it a religion (which I doubt) then that makes it a cult. Well the Roman court condemned Jesus. Does that make Christianity a Cult? No!

@sins4givenmain Then he should know James 4:12 "There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?" Matthew 7:1-5 is good too. Be careful who you follow. A lot of Christians have selective memory of the scriptures. The most important theme of the bible is to worship and obey the Lord and love everybody. Already I've been judgemental toward him because I like TM. I was wrong too.
