  • You speak sooo slow.

  • Incoherent dribble is your forte', particularly when it comes to the 408.

What is a "408 team member"?

  • Please work on your presentation skills and have your facts straight before making a video.

  • You suck,ok

  • Hey 155, what do you think about an Armalite AR-30 in .338 for 1650?

  • @DonnyDeezNuts86

I've heard that they are a good rifle, worth the price.

  • Comment removed

  • you know? I mean like...

  • i thought it was a .50 calibre in shooter

  • Comment removed

  • you sound like elvis man

  • All bullets use J4 jackets made by one company in the world.

  • Where would you find ammo in a WROL? Only get .300 WM, .338 WIN., .308, 7mm RM etc.

  • Barrett 98b does everything my barrett 416 does with less cost per round and much less weight. We were shooting out to 2000 yards very easily.

  • These rifles & calibers are for people who want to stretch out to easily 1000 to 2000 yd's. So all of you out their wondering what the cost of reloading the .338 is around $1 per shot. But their are plenty of money to spend before you shoot. You will spend $250 on some Lapua brass that is claimed to be the best that money can buy. Now speaking from experience I would buy nothing but Lapua brass. 6 times reloaded with only 1 trimming.

  • About 4 months or so ago I purchased my .338 lapua in the Savage 110 ba. It is a must to reload ammunition or get comfy with ammo running around $4.50 to $7 per shot shooting budget. People who want to buy big guns for bragging rights will never put these guns up to what they really can do. Watching all the videos of what 80% of people are doing with these are just stepping up their .22 lr plinker. These rifles are AMAZING at long ranges. Anything under 500yd is no fun.

  • Simple some people go to bike shops and say mummy I want that one and others go I want a example a 30" hart SS barrel in a .330 1-8 twist blah blah Lawton action blah blah Jewell trigger mcree stock etc etc people don't know what to get and what's best for the calibre rifle stock scope and whAt best suits them

  • Man that 98B is one good looking rifle!

  • why bother buying one of these. or an AI or a sako... BUILD YOUR OWN

    that is all...

also most countries use the .338 lapua mag.....

US doesnt... they are stupid and use the .300 win mag for there new precision rifle platform.. made my remington (yuk)

  • why bother buying one of these. or an AI or a sako... BUILD YOUR OWN

    that is all...

  • I have a dumb question, but why is the Barrett 98B so much more expensive than the Sako TRG 42 in 338 lapua?

  • @ihavacave

Because the Barrett M98B maintains .5 MOA out to 800 yards, and can paint a 4.05 inch group at 800 yards...

Does this help answer your question? If you don't believe me then look it up... Even Wikipedia has an article about it... ;)

  • @155Millimeter Thank you! one other question do you reload your .338LM and if so how much does it cost a round?

  • @155Millimeter

a custom build 6.5-284 norma can put groups of 1.54 inches at 1000 yards.... i know what i would rather shoot ;)

  • @155Millimeter Because of the bigger Name!! Sako gets the same job done.....

  • @155Millimeter ...And so does the TRG.

  • @ihavacave

because Barrett are tacticool...THATS IT! dont believe the bullshit that they are the best, they are good yes but not all that. The Sako TRG 42 is an EXCELLENT rifle and Id choose it any day over the barrett

  • @freestylmx311

Yeah because you own a Sako, sure you will recommend it... ;)

  • @155Millimeter

I dont own either but have shot both, they are both great

  • I appreciate your respect and calling me a tuff Guy... you better address me as such... i am your tuff Guy... LOL.. come and get some little man....

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Bitch you are a pussy... Make a video anytime and tell me just how tuff you are... I will have no problem putting you in your place... ;)

  • @155Millimeter you may go now.... THx for your time and efforts. But please go shoot the damn thing and cut back on the yapping in your video. Less talks more shooty... Im not going to post the video you requested. Just will beat you up here verbally is doing fine by me. Have fun. AND SHOOT THE DAMN THING ALREADY....

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

33,259 views on this video, and it is "youtube featured" and I didn't even need to waste one round of ammo...

Keep watching my videos, you are adding to everyone of my views everytime you come back over here to "fap, fap, fap,"...

Between my channel, and yours... Well I guess we all know who "The Man" is here on youtube... ;)

  • @155Millimeter so tough arguing on youtube. son of a bitch, people can be pathetic

  • Yep junky video... blah blah... can't u afford ammo for those? Dining room demos suck. Its a junk video... sorry. But look at the dislikes. They. Speak for themselves.... LOL. Good luck with your ammo.... lmao!!! THUMBS DOWN. Do to to much blah blah. . Shoot it don't talk .... have a good one!!! 8)

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Loser you only wish you could afford a rifle this awesome... Go play with you little sh#t Springfield XD, and your "Zero" subscribers little b#tch... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • @155Millimeter Your intellegence is showing again!! .... I guarantee you I can out shoot you in distance with my 22 pistol vs your 408, 338, 50 cal 20mm or whatever else you say you have. THnaks for posting!! have a good one!

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

Thanks for giving me more views and supporting the 155Channel loser... I used to block people like you, but now I find out you are the ones who help me get more views!

    Thanks loser... ;)

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

And since you blocked me, and showed yourself for the true pussy that I already knew you really are. I just decided to visit your channel and down rate everyone of your videos without even watching them. So go look at your every video. The only rate you have on them is a thumbs down. The rating speaks for your videos. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • Blah Blah.. DO you ever shoot your junk? shooth the damn gun not your mouth... tHx.

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!! This rifle costs more than your mom's pimp makes in a year... :)

  • @155Millimeter trust me it is not junk.. Do you own one?

  • @SIERRAHPBT

That's mine in this video. I have never even fired it yet, it's only been test fired by Barrett.

I will get around to firing it soon though. I just haven't had the time.

  • Thanks for posting i meant. Not that much of a d!!k.

  • Like said before, yes 338 will hang with 408 and 416. But the energy on the other side cant be compared. The only thing the 408 and 416 were designed for is putting people in the dirt. 338 is a little more reasonable $ wise for long range hunting. 338lm wont put 3 shots in someone's torso at 2400 yards. Uncomparable. Thanks for posing though.

  • shooter wasn't bad like point of impact better shooter is a remake of it hehe

  • Good lord could you make your delivery any more uninteresting?

  • the 338 bore has a lot going for it even in the 06 case

  • Uhh basically

  • ok

  • basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly,basicly

  • @mastermoshy no kidding huh? basically , I dont shoot I just basically talk talk blah blah!! LOL....

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

Funny... I have more shooting videos than you do tuff guy...

  • @mastermoshy

I tell you what. Try going over to defend against Saddam Hussein while he had a stockpile of 100,000 Gallons of Biological and Chemical Warfare, and then "IF" you make it back alive. We can watch you make a video and see if you don't stutter alot...

See how you like it when a civilian who was never there makes fun of the way you do your videos. See how you like it... ;)

  • @mastermoshy I second that !! This bute loves to hear himself talk.... shoot the damn thing... use that one round you have and make a dy of it... LMAO!!

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

Everytime you come here to rage loser... You give me more views! I can tell I struck a nerve... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

You can't even shoot a dime from 100 yards. 90% of women here in America can out-shoot you! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

  • @mastermoshy Basicaly he just basically has diarea of the mouth. basically so basic. Ha Ha.....

  • Cassiopia is alright too

  • the .408 stays ss past 3000m with either aluminum addition or liquid propellent. Mil spec .408 will never pass NATO's cert's.

Can't blame anyone for a rifle design about this .408, magnificent round.

  • my dta srs in .338 will shoot farther and with more accuracy than im capable of. n im no slouch. but unless your in competition, afghanistan, or feel your dick is too small ( or just have loads of $ ), then a .338 will do anything you can cheaper. the .408 is bigger and faster, and sure, id love one. btw, my bud just got a savage .338 for ar money, and its as accurate as mine. i dare say it has a smoother action to boot.

  • @jeffsbored13 .408 is just the OCD of rifles. 99.999% of the humanzies shooting it don't even know Nomad Trimble or Cleopatra, much less the math/environment involved.

  • Sorry I don't have a gun, rifle vids yet been working 6 10's. Great vids you have mill.

  • Iam a huge fan of the 338 family, about 2 years ago I bought my sako trg 42 and I love it. I have recently shot the B416 and that is a sweet rifle. But it was only this last fall I found another 338 round the 338 extreme so I had to have it. I had a reputable store in tacoma order one. And it is the sexist rifle I ever laid eyes on. I beleave it will do 3 maybe 3 1/2 miles easily, don't have any (bc) data now, and out distance the 416,408 and a 50. What I have found on the EX. Is not a lot

  • SAVAGE ARMES MAKES SOME OF THERE RIFLES IN 338 !! AND ITS ABOUT $1100.

  • to be fair its just like hunting the targets prsented the shot so he shot them all round from 223 upwards are capable off hitting a target at 2707 yards

  • I'm just a poor redneck. Can't afford this high dollar stuf. I just reload my inexpensive Nagant to hotter specs (maximum). I have made good hits at over 1000 yards. Need a better (more expensive) scope to go further with any accuracy, but it is capable of doing it.

  • uh, actually, uh well, uh, duh. GET TO THE FUCKING POINT MAN!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!

  • @mumbleye LOL.. No doubt about that!! Probably ona those pajama warriors... LOL.

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks

This rifle costs more than your mom's pimp makes in a year... ;)

  • and what if cheytac or some other company makes the 408 in a lighter bullet

  • $11,495 for M200

  • U shoot this with a toaster?

  • I kinda disagree with what your saying, ur using rifle weight as an example of why the .338 is better then the .408 but u can easily chamber a custom rifle thats lighter then the Barret in .408 Also, the .338 is more widely used in the field so it obviously has more chance of holding the record over the .408

The .338 Lapua's ballistics r great but the bullets your talking about only have a BC of 0.871 VS the .408's BC of 0.940. In the end the .408 is a heavier, higher velocity lower drag bullet

  • INTERVENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm a noob, what does the amout of grians do to bullets ?

  • @flubno

The higher the grain, the heavier the bullet...

  • @155Millimeter im a noob to ...the whole bullet or the projectile? prob the most stupidest question

  • flubno - the weight of a bullet is expressed in grains [gr]. There are 7000 grains in one pound. The grain weight is also used to measure the powder charge. Those countries who use the metric system use the gram as a measure - there are ~15.5grains in one gram.

    tac

  • @tacfoley So more grain equals a stronger and more powerful bullet ? Does it help with accuracy ?

  • flubno - no, it means that the bullet is heavier, not 'stronger'. That CAN mean more accurate shooting at the longer ranges. I think that you are mixing up the term 'bullet' with 'cartridge'. The bullet is the bit that comes out of the cartridge - the bullet is not powerful, but the cartridge ca nbe said to be powerful. Hope this helps.

    tac

  • @flubno

grains is the weight of the bullet, like a 230 grain round vs a 160 grain round is like comparing a 230lb man to a 160lb man. get it.

  • @flubno Grains is just another unit of measurement, usually used for bullets and bullet reloading

  • @flubno A "grain" is a unit of weight, usually used today to describe the weight of a bullet or a powder charge. If I remember correctly, one pound is equal to 7000 grains. Divide 7000 by 16 to get the number of grains per ounce.

  • @flubno The more grains you add, the further and harder your bullet will go and hit. But there is a limit to most bullets for how much grain can be added.

  • @FiveWonNine That's what i thought.

  • u can use the bullet as a fuckin melee CQB weapon LMAO

  • Drugs are bad Mm'kay

  • there is a cheytac .408 model called the m310 that is on a mcmillan stock designed for hunting that is lighter than that m98 bravo there.....the price is very high though

  • i have a edm windrunner 408, and 2 custom built 338 lapua...the 2 rounds are in no way comparable AT ALL...hope this helps

  • You need the 300 grain and an 8" twist rate to stabilize it, period.

  • WOW Look at the size of that round. Im in Cali , need I say more? How far out do your practice at? nice

  • Ok vid not perfect but try writing down ideads before u jump on camera so u can make the video short, sweet and to the point but gotta say beautiful rifle ur one lucky sob

  • what u got for brianobx, huh?

  • Are you Drunk? What the hell are you rambling about? Here's a tip, have a point! It makes it more interesting for the viewer. Whats the G1 b.c. of the 270gr .338 bullet you refer to in this video as most 300gr. bullets stay supersonic past 2000yds. anyway. By the way, nice gun! But whats with the POS scope?

  • too much talking not enough shooting.

  • if 338 is such the cats meow, why is barrett using 40 cal bullets to keep up with the cheytac

  • 2494040 mike

  • You might want to recheck your "facts"

  • @jimmym40a2

Again man be proud that you have a Cheytac M200. I would love to have your M200, and I look up to you for having such a great firearm. I cannot afford one, so I chose what I could. And I basically am a sort of collector.

  • @155Millimeter I own this rifle Barrett M98Bravo it's gr8. I can afford cheytac and barrett .50 cal but i like this one the best. It's light, it's cheaper, ammo it's cheaper I can practice more. I put 3 plus mile when with the rifle it's no way i will be doing this with M200 or .50 cal.

Remember: what it's the best for me for you can be something different. If I got pick up truck next to me and targets come in my dirrection, I will be happy with Barrett .50 cal.

  • @155Millimeter If I have to hike 5 miles to go to my spot ( or looking for target) I will be doing this with something light buy with the big punch ( barrett m98bravo) or to clime to the 30 floor with no elevator.

Cheytac 408 its gr8 but it's heavy. Do not forget you need ammo, water, food, range finder, spooting scope, knive, first aid, gps and more....More lbs = you are slow, = more dificulty in the terrain. It's all gr8 systems but not for everything. Think what you want to do with it.

  • @jimmym40a2 is it just me, or is this guy really talking slow?

  • @jimmym40a2 1 grain equals 64.8 milligrams.

"Grains" is a measure of weight. So is "Grams" but they are not the same. 1 gram = 15.4324 grains.

    1Lb. equals 7,000 grains.

So in ounces a 230 gr. bullet weighs.....

"An ancient unit which was originally based on the weight of a grain of wheat. The grain is the smallest unit of weight in the avoirdupois, troy, and apothecaries systems. Surprisingly it is identical in all three systems."

  • Last comment. You state you don't have any experience with the 408. I do. I have a 50bmg,408,338 and have shot them out to 3000 yards. For long range shooting the 408 is a superior cartridge. The 375/408 is even better. Accuracy-ballistics are better then the 338 (at long range). Any serious ELR shooter would agree. Like I said the 338 will reach out but the 408 does it better and easier.

  • @jimmym40a2

You're right I don't have any experience with the Cheytac .408, I'm just going by the facts of what an expert Cheytac team member said. And what I know about my Barrett M98B .338 LM.

For $10,000 price tag not a great deal of advantage for the Cheytac .408, Vs. .338 if any at all. Corporal Craig Harrison now holds the record for the worlds longest Sniper Kills @ over 2700+ yards, and he wasn't just target practicing to see if he could hit, he only used 2 rounds, killed two...

  • @155Millimeter he used also 9 rounds to range the targets you know

    9, thats much

though i dont want to say its not impressive if talkign aout both the rifle and the sniper, i just dont want to have missunderstandings about that one

  • @155Millimeter

na, harrison took 8 corrective shots to get closer to the target and hit with 9th and 10th shot. there is a detailed interview where he tells this. furlong took only 2 corrective shots and hit with the 3rd.

  • @jimmym40a2 to be fair, in argument of the .338, the longest distance recorded kill was acquired from a .338 Arctic Warfare Super Magnum, not sure if you have that rifle, but its probably the most accurate rifle for that kind of round, same goes with the .308, and it would be better than a .408 the chey tac intervention weigh's 14 kg without a scope, and the .338 L115A3 (arctic warfare) only weigh's 6.9 kg, and as a sniper, it's best to travel light, so surely that's the obvious choice?

  • @jimmym40a2 3000 yards is like 700 yards more than the maximum effective range for the cheytac isnt it?

  • @jimmym40a2 im sorry so your saying that you break the record set by a trained military sniper that shoots more then likely every single day. maybe then you post a video ill start eating all of your shit up. and you own a 50, 408 and 338? so im sure you will have the deep pockets to get a great camera to record it.

  • @FiveWonNine check out my youtube channel and you can see videos of me shooting out to 2700 yards. I have shot further but wasn't shooting video.

  • In terms of overall stopping power and flat out joules at 2100-2200 yards when each bullet drops sub sonic the .408 still has twice the mass. F=ma. It still has alot more energy than the .338 does at oh, say, I'm going to guess 1,800 yards. Not trolling or anything, But just thought I'd help put your mind to ease. Basically the military wants to drop the target first shot, anything else might be too late.

  • @motoballz

Good pont, I believe the .408 and .50 still have more power at 1800-2200 but what I'm not sure about is the capabilities of the .408 Cheytac and .50 BMG out to 2710.4 yards! WHich is litterally insane my friend! The British Sniper took two insurgents down a that distance with a .338 Lapua Magnum, and their is a video here on youtube where a bunch of guys who were everyday shots who also made hits at 2700+ yards with a .338 Lapua Magnum. They proved his kills was legit.

  • @motoballz

Here are a bunch of everyday joes like us hitting at 2707 yards with a .338 Lapua Magnum, Just listen to the heavy winds blowing! This is insane for an everyday joe like us to even get this close that far away!:

    watch?v=DBBnYPdfGCo

  • @motoballz

And the funny thing is I made this video before the information on the British Sniper was ever even released publicly by the media. When I made this video I never even heard of Corporal Harrison. I was just going off of my own research, and then when the media released the info on Corporal Harrison's shots it's was almost like one of those, "I told you so moments." If only you knew how many youtube gun channels got @sshurt when Corporal Harrison made this video look good. LOL.

  • One question, why that scope on THAT gun?

  • I have a cheytac 408 and it smokes the 338. it's laughable to say the 338 is better for long distance. The 338 will reach but the 408 will do it better and easier.

  • @jimmym40a2

Well evidently the the Cheytec .408 can't be much of an advantage over the .338 LM because it's pretty evident many Military around the world have either adopted the .338 LM, or the .50... Hmmmm... I wonder why is that?

.50 is for anti-material, .338 is for anti-personel. That kind of leaves Cheytac out, especially at a $10,000 price tag. And since Corporal Harrison dropped those two insurgents at 2707+ yards using two .338 LM rounds. Well looks like .338 still wins & cheaper.

  • @155Millimeter

Just because the Military hasn't adopted is does not mean much. To say there is not much advantage is as you say "unbelievable" Get your ballistic program out and look at the results when you put in a .945 ballistic co. Vs a .611 and look at the charts. As I said before the 338 will reach out but the 408 will do it better. And even better yet the 375/408 is even better. (supersonic to 2900 yards.) both dominate the 338.

  • @jimmym40a2

As I said, I'm not talking down your rifle. I would love to have an M200, just not the price. I have no experience with the .408, but as I said I have found a guy here on the web who was a former Cheytac .408 Engineer on the M200, He has also done work on the M200 ballistics computer, He was also a Cheytac M200 Team Owner/ Test Sniper. The guy is heavily into long range shooting, and he said that he would pick .338 LM over .408, or .50. That was straight from this guys blog. Cont

  • @jimmym40a2

I don't disagree with you that the military decision does not necessarily make it a good rifle. I said that as well in a past video when I said that the military often times goes with the lowest bidder, as they did when they picked the Knights Armament M110 SASS contract over the Armalite AR-10 Super-SASS. That was just going with the cheapest bidder.

  • @jimmym40a2

Yes I have heard of the .375 Snipetac as well, however I still donot see it working miracles of performance around the good old .338 LM round. But I give it to Cheytac they definitely are spending alot of money trying to create that miracle round.

Man you know as well as I do that our ballistics programs donot tell the whole truth about these rounds. According to Lapua themselves Corporal Harrison should have never been able to take those two rounds and kill both @ 2707+

  • @jimmym40a2

I only run the B.O.R.S. Ballistics Computer system, But I'm sure it will tell me the exact same insane ballistics range for the .408 Cheytac. Just as it tells me that my cheap .50 grain Walmart Federal Hollow point ammo I buy (because I'm a cheap skate who likes to use cheap ammo.) B.O.R.S. says is good out to this insane range of 1500 yards. But so far I have done good to get out to 800 yard with this ammo on plates. So our Ballistics Computers only tell half the story brother.

  • @jimmym40a2

Although these computers do help us amazingly, the B.O.R.S. was probably the smartest purchase I ever made for shooting because once I zero my bullets on a dime @ 100, all I have to do is let the computer tell me where I need to elevate my scope to what range, and it puts the bullet on target with hair pin precision, up until I hit about 800 yards, then those 50 grain Hollow points run out of gas. The Wind, Humidity, Temp, and gravity start to take a toll on those cheap rounds.

  • @jimmym40a2

Not putting down the Cheytac, I like the .408, but I know a guy who was an Engineer/ Sniper and former Cheytac .408 team owner, who also did work on the Cheytac Ballistics Computer, and he will tell you the exact same thing I just did in this video. In fact he said if he had to choose in a marksmanship shoot competition out to 2200 yards, he said "I would choose the .338 LM using LRBT J40 Round over the .50 and the .408 anyday" - From his exact words...

  • @jimmym40a2

Name does nor ring a bell. The guy I saw had his own website and a blog, and looked very, very credible. I take most with a grain of salt, but this guy looked like he had his stuff together. I won't get into if the guy did wrong, there has been to much that has changed since the Carla Franklin win against google/ youtube. Her win opened up to many legal ramifications and that's why I try to refrain from pointing the finger. But the guy never talked bad about Cheytac, ect.

  • what did you pay for rifle? without scope? and what length barrel

  • what rifle/gun is in the video?

  • @Pr0Airsoft

A Barrett .338 Lapua Magnum Sniper Rifle.

  • @155Millimeter it looks beast :D

  • @Pr0Airsoft

You should check out how accurate these rifles can be. I posted a couple of videos.

  • Am I the only person who hates listening to this idiot?

When comparing the size of rounds, do so with 223, 338 and 408 all in a row instead of waving some out of focus brass pieces around for a minute. And why spend five minutes telling us what you named this video? We know what it's called--we clicked on it! And learn how to breath! I can tell how fat you are just by the way you struggle between words!

  • @deathfromafar0317

No faggot try "Gulf War Illness" That's the reason for my unusual breathing.

And you are now blocked for being a complete faggot...

  • The .375-408 Cheytac is supposed to be the next big thing in ELR shooting.

I still am interested in the .338 LM but don't have the cash or range to use one effectively.

  • all are badass rounds though

  • the .338 lapua broke the record recently

  • Lapua is a Finnish word, and it's NOT pronounced "La-poo-ah" !!

There are only 2 syllables and (as close as I can come in english) it is "Lop-Wah"

  • ok!

  • Let's not forget about the rifles here. The rifle is what makes the round what it is. The Barret can't sniff the accuracy or cold bore accuracy of the M200. If you want to talk ballistics, look at the 416 Barret. You can have the most accurate bullet in the world, if you don't have a solid/consistent platform to shoot from it doesn't matter.

  • the 338 snipetac is supposed to be good to 3000 yards with a bullet with a ballistic coefficiant of .9 or better.

  • @bobistuff

But does it hold the World record for longest Sniper shots and kills?

  • @155Millimeter nope sure dosent. i think it could but noone has ever heard of it.

  • @155Millimeter correct me if im wrong because i might be but isnt the longest sniper kill shot done with a 50 bmg at 2430 meters? im pretty sure it is. you are right about the intervention being most accurate for a three round group. the snipetacs are a 408 wildcat and are impressive if you want to spend 5000 on the gun and probably 7 bucks a round. i have a 338 lapua and they are awsome!!! cant say enough about that round

  • @bobistuff the longest sniper kill is help with a .338 LM. it was actuly just released a few months ago. 1.54 miles. 2710 yards

  • @annasajerk yep i just read about it a week or so ago.

  • look into the 338 and 375 snipetac at black dimond rifles. they are a very impressive round and ballistically better than these two rounds.

  • I'm actually looking the Savage 110 BA in .338 Lapua. It weighs in at a hefty 15.75 lbs and the MSRP is only $2267. I think my local dealer could get me one for $2K. I'll probably stick with handloaded 300 gr SMKs if I get one cause those Lost Rivers are EXPENSIVE!

  • What's your opinion of the Stealth Recon Scout in .338 LM? Thanks, peace and grace...

  • check out the ballistics on the barrett .416 round vs the .50 bmg

    .

at 1000 yards the .416 is going 2054 fps. the .50bmg at 1000 is going 1457

    energy (.416) 3710 the .50 is also 3710

    bullet drop (.416) 218.6 inches the .50bmg 351.8 inches

    (.416) MOA compensation 16.5 the 50bmg 28.5

    .

just go to barret's site click ammo then click the .416 bullet, it will so a chart. open a new window and do the same for the .50 switch between and compare

  • @CrackerAssHillbilly

Yes but neither of them will ever beat Craig Harrisons record with the .338 LM. It's over, the .338 LM wins...

  • @CrackerAssHillbilly A few years ago the record for groups at 1000 yards was with the .416 and it was 4".

  • As impressive as these weapons are... They are just absolute pigs to shoot.(price is what im saying). Unless your loaded with cash... These just become safe queens. I have no prob with shelling out 4 g's for a weapon but what good is it if you have to take out a second mortgage to feed it. @ 53$ a box of TEN... And the chey-tac @ 140$ a box of 20... Wow. I will say that the M98 you got there is one sexy bitch though. Hope you like your purchase bro.

  • @ketel1

Yeah but think about how many times you actually make it out to the range to shoot. I only made it out 3 times last year.

  • @155Millimeter I try to go once a month. Indoor pistol in the winter and outdoor pistol/rifle in the spring/summer. Next time i go ill bring the cam post a vid and dedicate it to you lolololol.

  • @ketel1

If I'm lucky, 8 times this year. (And that's because I intend to put up more shooting vids for youtube, but that is to much for me, my average is 3-4 times a year) My marksmanship don't suffer a bit. My opinion is, Shooting is hereditary, you either have it or don't, I watched my younger brother (Former E-5 in the Army) pick up a Scoped M1A the other day and put bullet on bullet @ 100 his first time ever shooting an M1A.

  • @155Millimeter 100 yards lol i could make that shot with a .22 LR

  • @MarcusVel13

Yeah I just got out to 800 on a private farm land with my AR15.

  • @155Millimeter thats a beautiful gun i would love to have one what calibre is yours

  • @MarcusVel13

    .338 Lapua Magnum.

This caliber holds the record for longest Sniper Kills. Sniper killed two Taliban @ 2710.4 yards.

  • @155Millimeter man that's my favorite calibre you should post a video of this gun

  • @155Millimeter it was 2707 yard and it was also someone from the uk and the 2 and 3 place people were canadians :D americans were 4th and therewerent many americnas on it for long range

  • @155Millimeter Wow, I shoot 3 or 4 times a week and I'm a member at 2 ranges in case one is closed.

  • @ketel1

Oh. Yeah I love it. This was the only Caliber that I would even go with, the ranges in my area refuse to allow .50's or .408's the .338 Lapua Magnum can be loaded tamed, or loaded as a beast, either one.
