  • vergis ,aye make a snake talk

  • we never see the entire inside of the basket, and when he turns his back is blocking the bottom of the basket..

  • wow

  • i saw that with my own eyes = amazing

  • Boy you never get stuff like this in Covent Garden!

  • Awesome. Let magic be!

  • Maigc= what isn't explained yet.

By devoiling a new technology, it first seems magic, but then, we master it, and it beccomes "normal"

  • imagine u got one of those u go beside a bank at night and start playing ur little drum !!! ther u go climb it get on the roof acces the facility get rich !! can i buy one of these things ???

  • come on see this it is india

  • hi!

what is the background song in this video?

I like it.can some body tell me the song and artist?

    thanks.

  • a horrible one that would be, everytime there is a music playing, even during coffee time, or formal dinner, music turns it on

  • dude is awesome 4 real! Great performance! Wish I coulda been there!

  • YO!!!! this dude is for real!!!! This his way of/for living

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • the indian guy must really turn on that rope

  • Its not a Reversed film if so the cars on the street and on the intersection above the buildings in the background would be going in reverse. Just a thought.

  • wow, you're so clever, he did in fact use sky hooks, on invisible wire that all 500+ of the audience couldn't see because it was 3 miles above their heads attached to a plane !!??!!

i know how its done, it is completely obvious you don't. have fun, better luck next time.

  • oh please, people who have psychic/supernatural powers do a variety of different things not lame copies of same old rope tricks.. and swalling knives just doesn't match the profile of a psychic,

  • incase you didn't notice, the person Swallowing ( i believe that is how it is spelt for your infomation ) the knifes is actually a different person to the one performing the rope trick, and being as you appear to believe in supernatural powers ??!!?? i don't think a rational conversation can go any further. enjoy your life.

  • Yes I believe some people have supernatural

power, but those guys along with other Indian

magicians fail to convince me, hence what's your best explanation? molacular vibration

    in the rope? quantum vibration?

if they were capable of any such things don't

you think they would have advanced their shows

to perform more impressive things, it's a trick! and it's been passed on from father to son for 500 years,

  • nice shades

  • that guy is a great street performer

  • Beautiful trick. I can't wait until other magicians replicate and improve on it. This is perhaps the most anticipated trick ever.

  • The film was edited in reverse for the 2nd time the rope goes up.

  • But how for the first time?

  • real magic

  • sorry to spoil you best thought as to this video, but no reverse editing. if the edit was reversed for the rope going up, that means that the rope went up the way it came down, which would be even more amazing.

  • oh I was thinking it was going to be the whole trick

  • that's supposedly not the complete trick, but it's cool nonetheless

  • In the great Indian rope trick a boy climbs the rope disappears is pursued by the magician who also disappears. The magician then murders the boy displays the dismembered body parts and puts them in a bag. The audience then must pray for the boys soul who and astonishingly, is completely restored to wholeness and health . Needless to say ,in spite of many claims it has never been accomplished.

  • I've heard that it was done through the performer hypnotising the audience and then simply walking off the stage. But yeah it's surprising that this authentic recount seems to never have actually been documented.

  • i have herd that there is a big hungry tiger in the tree an it eat the boy,

  • I have heard that that was a well orchestrated hoax.

  • Nope... and people who enjoy magic are not idiots. It's entertainment. Calling someone an idiot for enjoying magic is like calling them an idiot for enjoying music.

  • ofcouce magic is not idiotic, for example Origami was not idiotic, nobody in the world with a small brain could figure out how to make a boat out of a flat sheet of paper without tearing it, and now there is mathematics rtheories they found upon that. Magic is nowhere idiotic

  • Problem is, magic has never been confirmed in proper testing conditions. So to jump to the conclusion that magic is involved shows lack of a sense for reality .

  • but magic has always amazed people. and it was because, they had to figure out how he did that, no matter what, but talented magicians wont let you feel its not a miracle, they will somehow amaze you

  • enjoying a trick does not mean being tricked.

The enjoyment can be a result of wonder about the way the trick works.

  • What a retard. Everyone knows it's a "trick", that's not the point.

By the way, your description isn't even how they are doing it, so I guess that makes you an idiot.

  • rope is in air - silly - even if there was an unseen string, what is holding the other end of the string? - bol maderchod bol .

  • Well, a skyhook of course! ;)

  • wouldn't there be a pole coming up from under the stage and through a hole in the bucket?

  • That is not possible. Watch 3:08-3:09 where he removes the basket to show that nothing is underneath.

  • That does not prove much - it could be hard to spot. The rope is down at that moment. It is also not definite that the rope he puts in is the same that shoots upwards. What does make the pole idea less likely is how the rope behaves at the very end, when he makes it jump up again. That does make me feel it is hydraulic, maybe using some underground high pressure connection.

  • Heres another theory I found, let me know what you think.

"the rope is soaked in magnetic and iron fillaments....then when heat is applied to the base the iron soaked rope becomes stiff!

once the heat is removed the rope becomes sloppy again!"

  • I did not know that heat activated magnets. Sounds dodgy to me.

I do agree with your comment in the other thread.

  • I'm also thinking "empty" rope with some form of hydraulics. The way it breaks when it falls seem to indicate fluid.

  • but where would he get the source of the fluid? he clearly showed the crowd the empty basket, i dunno what was on stage b/c i couldnt see it all, but im sure ppl would noticed if there was something on stage, like a trap door or something.

  • TOMMY he is not making rope jump up again ... that is just a video replay ...watch the other guy.

  • Hey, I did not even noticed it, and you can hear it was well. Thanks nilesh.

  • most likely it is gas transfer from basket. i think they use either helium or or any light gas (hydrogen is risky) from the chamber made up of basket wall......and when they pull up or twist the rope...the gas escapes--released

  • This was done in 1935 in India as i read it in the book ripley's belive it or not. I don't think they had those kind of gases back then.

  • YES...very likely there would be a pole coming up from under the stage and through a hole in the bucket...right in to ur ASSHOLE!!

    So better watch out!!

  • YES...very likely there would be a pole coming up from under the stage and through a hole in the bucket...right in to ur ASSHOLE!!

    So better watch out!!

  • Wow. Why isnt this guy on national TV making big buck, he's definately good enough.

This may make me sound like a geological retard, but where is Belfast?

  • Northern Ireland FTW

  • you mean geographical......belfast is in co.down AND co.Antrim in Ireland, but everyone just says it's in antrim

  • So stupid you are you can't even apply your insults correctly

  • WTF? do they look black?

  • shit he's good. how did he swollow the swords and bend his neck afterwards

  • no way!! no fucking way!!

  • It is not the GREAT rope trick. In the great one a boy climbs the rope. The rope colapses and the boy disappears...

... but very spectacular and close.

  • That trick is my fav trick of all time. Still nobody knows how it's accomplished.

  • Nobody?

What about all the people that perform it?

  • No they have'nt got a clue mate. They're simply brainwashed slaves working on behalf of a higher being and only he knows lol

  • indian magicans are cool! They dont fake atleast (as coug* criss *cough*)

  • wer can i dwnload this song...

  • The Tune is by Hedningarna and called Aivoton

  • wow! that kicks ass!

  • I'd love to know who did the music used in this video. It's Finnish, and sounds very much like Värttinä, but I know their music fairly well, and have never heard this song before. Do tell, if you know!

  • The Tune is by Hedningarna and called Aivoton

  • You, sir, are incredibly awesome. I've ordered two of their CDs to be shipped to me. Thank you very much for the info! :-D

  • This magic trick was performed thousands of years ago in the courts of the great kings of india..

Very few magicians know the trick today..

N ishamuddin is the guy performing it here in this video.. he tells us that there is no"supernatural power" involved here. he says it is a simple trick that can be performed anywhere..

  • the song is finnish not indian O.o

  • Yes! I was noticing that (the video's about halfway as I type this)! It almost sounds like Värttinä, but I can't tell for certain~

  • The Tune is by Hedningarna and called Aivoton. and yes its Finnish, but both Ishamudin and myself liked the tune so decided to use it.

  • great

  • I know but won' share

  • u dont know thatz y u wont share

  • jeez!!! what was that? may a bit of that in cricket will give better results for indian cricket team. amazing

  • yeah this is classic.. I always wondered about one day seeing this trick... you-tube rocks!!!

  • I would rather watch this stuff than Blane etc.this is honest magic!
