    Do you have a better link to the clip your are replicating. Or will you copy and paste the URL? I go nowhere with your link.

    I like your efforts to replicate this, but this circuit mod makes no sense. Follow the e- and see what path it might chose. And what happens when the capacitor is fully charged? This isn't an alternating current generator.

  • The passing of the magnet moves power one way, the coil fires pushing power opposite then the field collapse moves the power the other way again. That's alternating current aint it?? Unless you didint want to catch all the power available in the secondary winding!

  • No. The coil is triggered on by the passing magnet and allows the secondary coil to energize. This coil is now and electromagnet with a North pole on the top which pushes the magnet away. The transistor is turned off, the electromagnetic field collapses and creates a spike of high voltage, but this spike continues in the same path of the original current. This is a DC system, with all the magnets oriented in the same direction. Nothing alternates.
