i ordered a tritton call of duty 5.1 headset but unfortunately i order the wrong ones. which is the pc version. so im thinking of getting the audio mixer.. the question is will it still work as a 5.1 after the mixer cause i wanna use it on my xbox 360 which the pc version headset doesnt have a "dss" or something like that?

Just a note about the hiss. I also noticed the hiss (mostly in my right ear) and I tried using my laptop to power the USB and I still noticed the hiss. The next thing I tried was I unplugged the mixer from the wireless remote and the hiss went away. It seems that the Xbox wireless remote is causing the hiss. I got great sound (no hiss) after I removed the mixer from the controller but of course my microphone then wouldn't work.

hey man i got these for xmas , ive been using them and because they have braided wires they get really tangled and i untangled them today and i cant hear people very well if i move them around they work for a second or two , i dont pull my wires or anything is there someway to fix this? thanks.

will i get 5.1 surround sound in the headset then?

Steggy, I need some help. I have my output set to headset, have all my jacks put in the right place, all plugged in all the way. I have double checked everything. The problem is that other people can hear me talking but I can't hear them. Please tell me if you have any advice.

You aren't using the audio mixer on your PC, are you? There's no point in doing that...And if you aren't, you shouldn't be hearing strange sounds with just the headsets unless maybe it's your soundcard. My stock soundcard has a bad background noise/hiss when anything's plugged in the headphone jack, which is why i got an Asus Xonar DS sound card.

Hey Steggy I just bought this headset and for some odd reason I cannot hear the Game through the headset I have checked multiple times if I wasn't plugging in something or something is lose and it isn't Do you know how to fix this?

ALSO I can communicate to my friends and whatnot and hear them through the headset.

Hey Steggy, thanks for the review. I've been eying up the audio mixer but wasn't sure it had amplification built in because it's not mentioned on the SteelSeries website and they don't show the USB cord in any of the pictures, so now I know it's safe to pick one up.

have voice output to headset, have both jacks from the headset plugged into the audio mixer and the audio mixer connected to the headphone port of your tv/output of your xbox 360 whatever.

There is a FAQ about the hissing on the Steel Series site, its most likely interference from your phone near the headset. So if you move your phone away from the headset it should go away.

Hey Steggy would I be better of buying the siberia v2 with audiomixer or the 5xb. Its all about the sound quality for me.And I have 5.1 surround sound are headsets really better

@DavidTechHD I like the Siberia V2 more than the 5XB, so if those are your 2 choices then yes, I would recommend Siberia V2 + audio mixer over the 5XB, though with the 5XB you save more money.
