Great talk. Two thoughts: Cutting music and art from elementary schools is going in the opposite direction that is being advocated here.

At 1:05:30 the questioner who was wary of a "collective" is misinformed about artists working alone. It's actually a modern idea that artists work in solitude - but even then, the impressionists, abstract expressionists, etc. all met, discussed and shared ideas together. Before "modern times", artists worked in guilds. Even writers read other artists' work.
