At 1:05:30 the questioner who was wary of a "collective" is misinformed about artists working alone. It's actually a modern idea that artists work in solitude - but even then, the impressionists, abstract expressionists, etc. all met, discussed and shared ideas together. Before "modern times", artists worked in guilds. Even writers read other artists' work.
You know, sometimes in class I answer: 'Good question, I'm not really sure' or 'I really don't know, but I'll find out for you'
