  • Presley went as far as he ever could or would have. It almost seems inevitable that he should die in the mid 70's. He was burnt out, his time had come and gone, He belonged to an older era. He made his mark and it just wasn't gonna cut it past the 70's. He was old school and very Vegas and had nothing in common with the new pop sensibilities that were emerging. If he didn't die in 1977, he'd have been playing the club circuits by the mid 80's, probably as a kind of imitator of his former self.

  • "PLU PLA PLU PLA + TAX"

  • qwertyuiop

    asdfghjkl

    zxcvbnm

  • You were not there .. which I do not think you were! then you should not speak up about things you do not know! let the king rest in peace!

  • He wasn't drunk you bastard, he was very ill, plus, this was his last performance, just six weeks before his death.

  • Elvis was never an alcoholic, he drank alcohol once and said he didn't like the way it made him feel and never drank it again, but he did a lot of alcoholics in his family and that's the reason he stayed away from any kind of alcohol beverage.

  • @TheOnlyOnekingelvis, do you think about me, when your mother is sucking your cock? You Faggot!!!

  • how embarrassing

  • I would suggest you all get a life. look out the window, there's a world out there. Elvis and Michael Jackson were two completely different entities. Michael, as a singer/writer and performer totally eclipsed Elvis, and maybe you oughta do some research before u diss Michael, as a child molester. It's brain dead twat's like u who become the sinister in society.

  • @Candorsound no offense, but mj did not and will not ever eclipse elvis presley.long live the king!!!

  • Alcohol and drugs doesnt have anything to do with it

    He's got a heartache can't you see?

Please stop trying to make the king of kings look like a junkie. Can't you just listen to his song?

  • Elvis messed around alot on stage. look at the 68 comeback sit down portion. he especially messed up this part of the song more times than not. btw I was unaware that a person could get drunk from spring water, diet dr. pepper, and Gatorade!

  • Saying what you think is wrong and what really was wrong with Elvis is 2 different things, if you were a doctor and had seen these symptoms before your looking at a man with colon cancer that was prescribed morphine becuase his colon was also twisted, a drunk acts completely different if you will notice there are times he acts totaly sober.thats because he was not drunk but medicated, he should have been in the hospital, having worked with Evis's singers those are the facts.

  • i like elvis but michael jackson is better

  • @catdaddy10ful better at abusing white boys paedo jacko was a joke, a novelty act that stole its entire stage act from Elvis and others

  • Elvis was not DRUNK.He did not drink alcohol. He would have a beer or mixed drink if he was at somebody's house, just to be sociable but that was it.His demon that got him was the pills and dumb ass doctors that wanted to make a quick buck when they should have been looking after his health.Plus he goofed around on this song every time he sung it.Look at other videos and you will see he did this every time just for laughs.

  • @profsat5 were you with him the entire time? no? so stfu

  • @theprincedhani

Yes, U are an idiotic asshole. SCHMUCK.

  • what friends huh they gave him all that shit and doctors he took enough to kill 10 normal people....

  • Listen to the refrain. does not sound very drunken.

    Elvis for ever

  • He wasnt drunk... he was high as shit

  • This was his pretty much Him saying his goodbye's before he died... He knew it was coming.. :/ makes me sad

  • Not funny this, your a legend..

  • I'd glad he died. What a mess. His death was his greatest caree move.

  • @ThePrinceDhani your a dick

  • @hotmn4u You're*

  • @ThePrinceDhani you're a fuckin idiot arent you

  • @wolfclaw223 Not really. Look at him. He's a mess. He's overweight, he's either drunk or high on drugs and he's playing Vegas. By 1977 he'd lost so many fans and he wasn't what he used to be. As Lennon said "He died when he joined the army". Which he did. If he hadn't died when he did he wouldn't be half as popular as he is now. He went out while he was still on top (just). Look at rock and roll stars from the same era. Where are they now? Nobody cares. same would have happened to E

  • @ThePrinceDhani jonny cash got sober and went on to be almost as popular as he alwys was until he died in his 70's. I just hate to see drugs and alcohol take the lives of such talented people.

  • @ThePrinceDhani

    2 things..

    1. if you are a admirer of dhani harrison then know about his father... george.. you will come to know how much he loved , respected and was influenced by elvis.. and same for dhanii

    2. elvis didnot drink , smoke and never did narcotic drugs... he overtook medicinal drugs and that led him from one disease to the other.. learn about him first...

a word of advice.. nodoby cares what you and your shitty friend circle care about...

  • @udit15121988 Yes Elvis rarely had a drink and only smoked those hav-a-tampa cigars He certainly did narcotic drugs prescribed for him including Dalaudid morphine and Hydrocodone Yes he sure overtook prescribed drugs and besides those mentioned benzodiapams barbituites valmids placydils and a number of others

  • @ThePrinceDhani it is your opinion, but he lived and died probably before you were born and the world he lived in was much different than today and you do not really understand the impact on his generation. As for being drunk - well no and yes probably affected by some kind of drug abuse, but he worked for his audience for as long as he could - your comments are cold and are historical opinions rather than social appreciation

  • This almost hard to watch.

  • this was sick, a man pushed to the limits when he needed help, fuck the colonel the dutch prick,

  • he was just fooling around, like he used to do with his songs many times before! LOVE YOU ELVIS, FOREVER!!!!!

  • I love Elvis. We are all human ,he was hurting ..where else can he show this..give him a break..before I put you down!

  • Look at that bloated fat pig of a musician.... Man did he lose it at the end or what!!!

  • Who am I talkin' to?

  • He still nails it in the end

  • What a waste... this is what happens when you are surrounded by yes men & ass kissers that out of pure opportunism won't say what Elvis didn't want to hear.

  • High or drunk or not..Elvis could still perform and sing better than most musicians can sober...pills and or booze can't hide pure talent like His...

  • He IS the best!

  • Elvis didn't perform drunk.

High and wired perhaps but not from booze.

  • One of the saddest moments ever....he's dying right there and knows it and is embarrassed by his appearance. SO tragic. RIP

  • He was in Congestive Heart failure and probaby blood gases out the zing zang. Bless his heart.

  • Let's not forget that man is the greatest vocalist who ever lived and will ever live.

  • lol "plus tax"

  • thanks for posting this moron. apparently, people can post things on here, title them as they wish & not have a clue as to what they're talking about! you'd think there would be more of a response to this you fucking tool.

how about getting a job, not living in front of you're jizz ridden computer & actually knowing what you're talking about before posting. i know it sounds crazy - but give it a try dumbass.

  • pills or not he´s pissed like a sponge

  • rock 'n roll?

  • 0:16 BLBLBLBLBRRRRR! Wonderful!!

  • Kongen

  • The King of Rock`n roll forever!

  • RIP elvis, and all those who want to say he was drunk.....he was under the influence...he was a great man, a gifted singer, and a mamas boy, so fu-- off and give this child of god a break....he did what he could with what he was....alot of people out there might be a better person because those chose not to where his and I's shoes, but it takes a real man to where them and take them off, and he did take them off! rip Presley!

  • He wasnt drunk,DUMB ASS!!

  • DAMN HE WAS HUGE IN THE FACE

  • he always made fun of this song - the rest of the show is fine and he was far from drunk

  • Elvis wasn't drunk. He was extremely sick. He died less than 2 months later, let him RIP,

  • @jhowej3 he wasnt sick he was high on pills and drunk stop takin up for him same as Michael Jackson he was a pedophile and a drug addict dont hide the truth just cause you like him

  • @jhowej3 He was pissed off his head, naive retard

  • @niloh96 Hey asshole. If you were standing in front of me, I'd slap your silly stupid moronic ass down you putz. get a fucking life and quit bothering people with silly shit. Shit for brains... that's you. Moron.

  • @niloh96 To me, he seems more high here than anything.

  • @jhowej3 Sick on drugs- yes, so true. Still love him though.

  • @jhowej3 if by sick you mean waked out on pills, then yep, he was sick.

  • @jhowej3 he was high

  • @jhowej3 He was sick on drugs. He was a junkie!!!

  • @cfury38 like you and you boyfriend, both suck...on each other

  • He was no Jim Morrison.

  • Oh yeah I watched this clip with my mum and I was like "Mom he's wasted! Mom! I know what wasted is, how many times have you staggered over the babysitter after a night of whatever?" She was like "He's not wasted he's just emotional cuz he's about to die" and I'm like OK mom.

  • he is a great man that entertained us for years...why would u judge ?

  • bEAutiful in way lolol

  • hah hah, so funny.

  • yes he OD but it wasn't booze it was perscription drugs. That's what ShortMog was saying about the comment.Yes he did like to kid around on stage.

  • Elvis was NOT drunk. He was probably blitzed on prescription drugs. Sad but true. Elvis didnt drink, I'm not sure if he ever consumed any alcohol in his life but if he did it was a very rare event. Anyway, it's just sad to see what he'd become by this point, he was obviously exhausted on top of it all. And before anybody says anything, I can tell you, I've both been hooked on prescription drugs and know others who have, and they can sound like this sometimes. Damn shame.

  • @rondunderfunk Who the fuck are you? The official Elvis historian? did you know him? You just believe what you been told. He wasn't a child molester either right? ooops did I say that? That's right he fucked under age girls all the time and nobody said shit just like his drinking. Cheers fatass!

  • @BusaFalconer And I suppose you were there?? Wow. I'll not be dragged into an argument over the Internet, it's juvenile, just like your insults. Have a sparkling day.

  • ''Are You Drunk Tonight?''

  • <--- Shaking her head at very stupid people. Some people are idiots!!! They come in here and try to act like they know piticular singer so well, like they were his best friend or something. You all don't know 100% what Elvis did or didn't do so STOP ACTING LIKE YOU DID, GEECE...

  • greatest of all time? strong statement , i think BOBBY HATFEILD blows him out of the water. ELVIS is good , and a good person but not the best.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think it's funny. I think it is sad. I don't think he was drunk. He was more than likely on a bunch of the medications prescribed to him. He knew he had become a joke and the only way he could cope was with drugs. What do you do with the first Rock Star whose addicted to drugs? There was no Betty Ford clinic yet. Through him, they've learned what NOT to do. But you've had your little laugh, at his expense. Glad he could be there for you.

  • When it comes to Elvis fans, there are none so blind as those who won't see. He was drunk and out of it. Fact.

  • He's not drunk, he forgot the lyrics so he decided to ad lib and not take it so seriously. He was a wonderful performer.

  • Elvis didn't OD,he died of heart failure due to hypertension & a heart condition that seems to be hereditry

  • Even Elvis seem's board enough with his lot as a Vegas sideshow that he has to mock his own performance.

Fucking Vegas. What an ignominious way for a great like him to run the clock out..

  • @9fifty5 couldn't have said it better myself

  • I love the fact that everyone on youtube knows everything :p

  • Yes, he messed up the speaking part...a lot!! But then he starts to sing the song...all is forgiven. What an amazing voice.

  • hes juss messin around you fool.

  • yes he is the king-not perfect-but who is anyway?

  • I dont like elvis I think he was very over rated

  • elvis is king of rock and roll :) ha

  • No one could stop Elvis, his cousin tried to talk to him about his addictions, Elvis pulled a gun on him and then fired his ass.

  • the fuxk? elvis is no where NEAR the greatest.

  • he's not drunk. He's just forgetful. Elvis always had a problem forgetting lyrics, and stuff.

  • it would have been more fun seeing him singing this song some thousand times after again:: that would have been great**

  • im not sure if those are tears or sweat.....but one thing im sure of, one of those tears had so much dope in them and would kill a small elephant

  • why did he die did he eat a bad p n j sandwich for CALVTA77

  • i found this a bit uncomfortable to watch. but there was still a flash of genius at the end, his voice is beautiful.

  • Whatever he was he was having fun...showing his lighter side

  • maybe he's stoned on all those pills his good doctors kept giving him? You know, it's funny how things are connected. Elvis is helped to his death by his doctors. His daughter marries Michael Jackson who's later helped to his death by his.....well, you all know the rest...

  • I think he was on coke

  • This was nothing when he was stoned with Richard Nixon!

But really, this is no disrespect to a pioneer of music and a breaker of segregation, even Elvis has skeletons in his closet, but WHO CARES! the man is great!

  • long live the KING OF ROCK N ROLL....A ANGEL send from God...people may slate Elvis...BUT WHEN YOUR GONE YOUR GONE Elvis will allway be here now and for ever R.I.P. Elvis x

  • the most over-rated artist of all time. write your own songs Elvis my boy? na, did you balls.

  • Yeah but he did OD.

  • This video is disrespectful of Elvis

  • Take a few more dilaudids ya NARC FOR NIXON HYPOCRITE!

  • ... fat cunt ...

  • @djboony Harsh bastard

  • @djboony well funny thing is you have an opinion and thats all it will be ha versus the fact king of rock and roll you mad bro ya your mad

  • @kingelvis19 fat cunt

  • @djboony yes you are and always will be thanks for stating that

  • bet he regrets having that shit !

  • NOT drunk....Up to his eyeballs on Codeine !!!!

  • ha ha elvis was so wasted he couldnt remeber his words i think he was retarded why the hell would anyone want to live in las vegas and worst of all perform their its a fake shithole that should be used to test atom bombs elvis should have come to enland and peformed in local pubs and clubs because thats were the real people are america is fake like their politicians crazy religious maniacs at least in england we know their all cunts anyway elvis was a legend but when it came to money not bright

  • I think its a funny video. He was never a drinker of "alkohol" but that motherfucker shure liked alcohol...LOL.

  • Don't get me wrong Elvis did some good stuff, but he also did a lot of crap. If it came down to a count, you would know a lot more Beatles music then you would Elvis. He wasted his time at Vegas, he had too many yes men around him and a lousy manager. While Elvis was making money by doing forgettable films, the Beatles were making music and at the same time changing it.

  • @wisetrucker What a load of bullsh*t .

  • @mizzmusiclova Yes i totally agree with you, what a load of bullshit Elvis came out with, hiding away in Vegas he had nothing to do except produce crap.

  • @wisetrucker My previous comment refers to you and your attempts at being clever- which are unsucessful. The beatles may be your taste but not mine and your disrespectful comments about a talented artist meaning Elvis, make you look stupid its a pathetic attempt to try insult him. To clarify the bullsh*t came out of your mouth and it's still flowing.

  • @mizzmusiclova If you love Elvis thats up to you, but it still comes down to musical talent, and all he could do was sing, most of it was crap as the studios needed to make some money. But did he change the World with his music, no. I have more respect for Cash, Buddy Holly etc then him, at least they could write some music, and even today you can see the beatles legacy in the music that is produced. Clever, no i was not trying to be, i was just stating what i thought.

  • @wisetrucker Yes It is up to me. Your opinion about Elvis is just that where are the facts, either way he's still a popular entertainer today 34 years after his death. Before you make statements about Elvis's musical talent and as regards whether or not he changed the face of music, you need to check out some facts first - your sweeping statements make you look extremely stupid. I really don't care what your opinions are, at the end of the day none of them are based on fact.

  • @mizzmusiclova I could watch the Beatles film "A hard days night" and know most of the songs, you can watch a crap Elvis film and not know any of the tunes. They were all studio made to get the most bucks as you say, no musical talent needed at all.

  • No está borracho, él en sus conciertos hacían bromas de este estilo

  • It was probably the drugs he was on. Such a shame....

  • Show some respect for a very talented, yet tortured human being. Unless you enjoy going through life being an obtuse, narrow minded half wit.

  • Elvis was not drunk-he was stoned from prescription drugs!.

  • He isn't drunk but he is high on somethin..sad..guy gave us white folk rock and roll..

  • I remember seeing this long ago, and simply thought (like any human being on the face of this earth is capable of), that he either simply forgot the words, and made a joke of it- some of it being pretty funny and witty actually, if you listen closely- or was so tired of doing that talking segment so many thousands of times and perhaps even thought it was corny by now- that he just had fun with it!

  • Phat phat phat!

  • I think this video/posting is disrespectful. First of all, Elvis was never a drinker of alkohol, and never drunk on stage. He's just fooling around as he often did. Hi kept his humour and his voice to the very last. He's the greatest artist to ever have walked this earth!

  • @ShortMog Okay, then he wasn't drunk. He was on perocets. That's better.

  • @ShortMog "The greatest artist to have ever have walked this earth", no i am sorry, he was not. Yes he might have sung a few good songs all written by someone else, he also sung a lot of crap while drugged up, or was that burger making him fart. The so called king was nothing more than a puppet, the real Gods of music in his time were The Beatles, at least they could write their own music.

  • @wisetrucker That is so true!!

  • @ShortMog Oh come on, Elvis wasted much of his life chasing a chemical high. Why do you want to worship him?

  • @ShortMog wow thats weird. i wonder how he died from alchol poisning

  • @ShortMog C'mon, are you serious? With ALL due respect do you really believe he was sober & lucid here? I agree with you on 1 point, he wasn't drunk - but he was DEFINITELY on something. It is a WELL KNOWN, ESTABLISHED FACT that he was a heavy drug user. We know this from people close to him - both people who loved him & people who didn't. Even his then-girlfriend said that on the day he died he took a lot of pills. I work with drug users every day and lemme tell ya - he was on something here.

  • @ShortMog I'm as big of a fan of Elvis as anybody, but you need to be realistic. Elvis LOVED the booze and wasn't just "fooling around." You need to brush up on your Elvis history...

  • @ShortMog Elvis is clearly high or on drugs, he's a teriffic performer and artist but you should really learn how to spell and write a coherent message to help get your message across.

Great artist, may or may not be the best but everyone has their preferences.

  • @ShortMog please

  • @ShortMog I agree it's a disrepectful video but he is impaired.

  • @ShortMog You must be the one drinking the alcohol with your poor spelling. No he was probably not drunk but he was most likely on other drugs. It is well documented that he was taking drugs up until his death. Drunk or not he is not sober here.

  • @ShortMog no i dont think so . He is just being the shity slob that he came to be . You know all of the truth came out in the end when he was on stage in his outward apearance and sensless performances In his youth he was handsome and that is probably what took him to the top, it sure was not his tallent because he had little if any.

  • @ShortMog - FOOLING AROUND!! Are you kidding me? - He was a drunken slob! He completely forgot the lyrics & these people should have gotten their money back! The man had no talent (just watch one of his movies). He was the original TOOL! The industry made him and killed him. The only thing he had was good looks & gyrating hips in the early days. He rode that to the bank for as long as he could. The only good thing I'll say about Elvis is he was a generous man. Elvis has just left the building!

  • @ShortMog and you can't even spell alcohol.

  • @ShortMog Your just a blind fan, not ready for the fact that he abused drugs, Granted it's disrespectful to post it when he's alive, but now that he's dead, he can't suffer the ignomanity of his habit being exposed to public view.

  • @ShortMog ugh actually he has been on stage drunk

  • @ShortMog ROTFLMFAO! He is a big fat bloated pill popping drunk as you can clearly see in this video. What's disrespectful is that he CHARGED people to see it!!

  • Think about it, elvis sold his soul to vegas. He did a lot of crap films, sung a lot more crap songs, and was a piece of shit when he died. This man was the king, sorry but he was even the dresser of the king, he was a pale imitation of the king.

  • Think how many women in the audience were disappointed how he just blew off this song; probably would have meant a lot to some of them if he'd taken his performance a little more seriously. Guess he had probably done this song so many times, to him was nothing to just blow it off. I mean, yeah, he's the king; he'd probably earned the right to screw off once in awhile, but I'll bet this was a once-in-a-lifetime- event for a lot of 'em. Maybe some thought it was cute, I thought it sad.

  • a great artist who ruined his reputation, sorry but true.

  • Elvis was a pill hound & had his "yes men" go dr. shopping for him. He was heavy into narcotics (which is ironic), downers & speed. This widely known.

This is so pathetic, why do people clap @ his incoherent, drug-induced babbling? He can't even be professional enough to remember the lyrics or what he's even saying cause he's too fucked up. Some of us have to point out how bad he was because most of his fans are filled w/"Elvis Is The King" propaganda. Elvis couldn't even write his own songs.

  • @Sirscorps he'll do better than ul every do ass hole elvis lives in the hearts of all his fans still to this day have lil repsect

  • He was having fun because he forgot the lyrics. Nobody can think that quickly and be drunk. And that's "plus tax"...

  • ELVIS PRESLEY!! was not Drunk on Stage!..... The Man was I'll for Christ sake!.... why do people want to show the few bad things about ELVIS!!!!!... We have got some Fantastic Footage of the Man... ELVIS the 68 Comeback!!! ...WOW!! it's ELVIS at his best! Err and why do we always forget the Memphis Stint he did back in the early days! I wish i had been born 25years earlier and followed him right through!... the Man is ..."Phenomenal"!!... + u with the M J remark (urm what a Prized PRAT!!!!!!

  • @cazandgaz1 Elvis was a pill-hound. Narcotics, downers & speed.

    /Fact.

  • Poor Elvis. I really miss him.

This song makes me sad. I did a show with Elvis Junior in Las Vegas a week after my mother died. Mom looked so much like Gladys Presley, so I have always felt connected to Elvis in some way.

Drunk or not drunk, Elvis is King.

  • @leegenix You can't be the "King" if you steal your hits from blues singers ("Hound Dog") & can't write your own songs.

Elvis HAD an awesome voice, look & charisma & had much more potential as a singer but his mgt. wanted to make quick cash off of him, & go Hollywood & Elvis never had the stones to tell them off & to do what he really wanted to do. Then he got into narcotics, speed & downers around 1970 & he died in 1977.

  • A metallica video got me here

  • Yup, he made fun of this song quite a lot during the talking bit. He had a sense of humour. Definately not drunk. Nobody can say Elvis was boring.

  • Not drunk, he's just having a laugh. He jokingly skipped this part of the song in the '68 special, so this is nothing different really. If he wanted to sing it properly, then he would have.
