Elvis was NOT drunk. He was probably blitzed on prescription drugs. Sad but true. Elvis didnt drink, I'm not sure if he ever consumed any alcohol in his life but if he did it was a very rare event. Anyway, it's just sad to see what he'd become by this point, he was obviously exhausted on top of it all. And before anybody says anything, I can tell you, I've both been hooked on prescription drugs and know others who have, and they can sound like this sometimes. Damn shame.

I don't think it's funny. I think it is sad. I don't think he was drunk. He was more than likely on a bunch of the medications prescribed to him. He knew he had become a joke and the only way he could cope was with drugs. What do you do with the first Rock Star whose addicted to drugs? There was no Betty Ford clinic yet.
