excellent. most people show the enjoyable canoeing part of the BW not the grinding portage part. but thanks to the rough terrain of the portages the numbers of people are kept to a hush as you get deeper and deeper into the BW. I always go in deep to escape the family's with the rugrats and the noise they bring.

the portage from boot lake too ensign is just as fun. ensign is a very good walleye lake i have been there several times
