Shame there is video of these cars racing. I was at the 1986 Le Mans. A Porsche fan & a Jaguar fan love both. But I remember these Kouros cars had a beautiful V8 sound. not the fastest but definately Deeper than the other racers. I have commented this to many people best sounding cars there that year
Like you, I vividly remember the fabulous deep growling roar of that 5l Turbo V8 that the Kouros cars had. It sounded like nothing I'd ever heard before; a real shame neither of them finished - and they looked fantastic too!
That was the one and only time I ever went to Le Mans.. I remember the waether was crap, but the race was exciting. Amazingly, we didn't even know about Jo Gartner's fatal crash until we were halfway home.
