Why do people drag race quads i dont get it I race a trx400ex But wth a ton of modifications i mean whats the point of going in a straight line? its much more fun turning shifting brakeing and all that stuff.

and if u were smart u'd kno that banshees are way tooo high maintenance. so he is smart cuz his 450r will outlast any banshee. everyone has his or her preference. i would take a 450r over a banshee too. i got a 01 blaster that runs like a champ but on the trail u gotta have that 4stroke torque.

bull. my banshee's crank held up for nine years and if you knew what you were talkin about a banshees crank is still almost half the price of a 4 poke crank.

not very often, just like my shee. it took nine years for it to go through the stock crank and the hotrods version is even stronger soooo.... dont be stupid by saying its unreliable, the banshee is reliable up until you hit around 70 horses. there's a balance between speed and reliability you can find if your smart. and so what if you have to buy 2 of everything? the banshee is one of the best, unique sounding quads out there?

yeah they do sound pretty sick. but a banshee is more unreliable than any other quad out there except for those shit chinese brands. if u have 2 of everything it means twice the shit can go wrong. yanno wat im saying?

I don't own a banshee but you are dumb as hell. It has twin cylinders, not twin cranks. Twin pistons, cylinders, heads, rods, carbs, etc. Single cranks. Badass motor. Very reliable. That 's why they made them for 20 yrs. And I hate banshees. I race a CRF450R.

@XMOUS3YX little do you know, almost EVERY built 450 has to be be RE-BUILT every season if it's being used frequently. Not to mention the cost of rebuilding a 450 compared to a banshee or any 2 stroke for that matter is about double. I race about once or twice a month, and all the guys racing 450's rebuild and break a lot. Not to say banshees don't break, but if you have it built right it should outlast a 450.

the only time I seen a canondale 440 at the dunes here in oregon I didnt even know what it was. I raced the guy up the face on my z400 and beat him by 3lengths. maybe he didnt know how to ride but I wasnt impressed. My ltr 450 did 74 stock ive since geared it down but I would hope a 700r has more top speed then that.

I;d say your best bet to fullfill that death wish would be a 1000 cc pro mod SKI DOO engine. A R1 or RX1 powerplant would do fine as while. For short periods these engines can be made to not ever head; We use them watercrossing all the time. Raptors got a good strong frame
