This is terrific. What a lovely version. And I agree with what others have said about your ukulele playing. It's great, really sweet and clear. Well done, and thanks for posting.
@cardweller Prompted by this clip, I finally got round to leaving you something for the "Some Hope" download over at Noise Trade. Thanks for the music!
The light and music and the artistic imagination creates a totally wonderful creation. Thank you my lovely friend for the visit and the compliment. I cherish your friendship and happy to be here on your page. Today and always, it is a joy to be International friends...Wishes for you for a happy week and a lovely evening, from Zuzanna ♥
You are a very talented musician. I love this song!!! Your tribute to George with this song and playing the uke feels so heartfelt! You play the uke so well!!! You are inspiring and I can't wait to see the movie! Thank you for uploading this! It is a gem! Blessings, min :-)
@benthemiester Thanks! Having a listen to some of your playing - nice work! I particularly like your version of "Cant find my way home" - the warbly guitar sound works surprisingly well and the acoustic section's lovely too. Fantastic playing all round - very effortless and you have very good feel. ~ DC
@thesillyone42 Sorry I don't have tabs for this as I just "play it by ear" and I don't really have the patience to make them! I don't think I play it the same way twice either. Maybe if enough people ask, but I can't promise. Perhaps I'll make another video with a clearer view of my fingers. Thanks for listening, and please have a look at my main "cardwell" channel too! DC
beautifully done by the way and yes ... I'm really impressed with your flatpicking on the Uke O^O! ... but hey what do I know .... :P
a very enjoyable vid, A thumbs up and a sub from me ... ;)
And you got that sound from your cameras mike .... wow ... I really must start trying to post and have a go myself ... I'm not in your league you understand, but well it is in the fun of it ...
that is a beautiful sound from your uke, a spalted or flame maple kala with a spruce top I do believe. what sort of pickup or mike are you using to get such a nice sound?
@CerylTrini Thanks Billy! Yes indeed it is a spalted maple uke, a gorgeous little instrument I got last year, and my first real uke. I recorded this with the little Zoom Q3HD camera, which has really god built-in mics.
Timeless great song, also great interpretation on ukulele, George's favourite string instrument, by you - thank you DC, also for Youtube friendship invitation!
As little thank you, I just have included your video for explanations at my George website (see profile) with something you might haven't known about George yet....
Hi DC, thanks for sharing your version! I'm glad you were inspired to perform it on the Ukelele. It reminded us a bit of Joe Brown (which is a good thing)!
@TheCherryBluestorms I was *thinking* of trying I'll See you In My Dreams. Samuel and I play it in Django style, but I can kinda do it on uke, I think.
@cardwellers That sounds like fun! I certainly love Joe Brown's version on the uke. Did you see "Concert For George"? You are getting loads of downloads quickly on "Here Comes The Sun". Bravo!
@cardwell That's cool that you've seen that as well. Yes he is... On a separate note, if there was a way for us to get over there, Glen could play guitar for you, your son would play drums, I could sing back up and Glen and I could open for you. ;-)
@TheCherryBluestorms That would be very cool but I can't make my gigs pay for the car trip into the city so two cross-pacific flights would really be stretching it!
@cardwell :-) We understand. Have you tried "Music Marketing Manifesto to increase your internet sales? We are just starting that. It certainly looks like you have your youtube portion working that way with views and downloads already for this song. Some of the musicians that are in the "Inner Circle" forum of that are having great results. We are about to see if it helps us. I'll let you know after the first part of the year. It definitely seems promising.
@TheCherryBluestorms I'll have a look at that site, and thanks for the tip. When it comes to "getting my music out there" I'm pretty good, but when it comes to "selling" I'm an abject failure, haha! I don't think I really have it in me. I would love to hear how you guys go with the MMM though. Any tips are much appreciated.

@cardwell Yeah thanks for the compliment. The warbly guitar sound = rotary speaker emulation on line 6 pod.
In the last few months I have gained a new admiration for the Ukelele. Again great version of a great song. Harrison was in many ways underrated.
