I really enjoyed your version! I did want to comment that I think the song is actually about a man who finds the love of his life, after he finds christ. ("we are all looking for redemption, were just afraid to say the name") wading into the water (dating and bar hopping) she says she always had him, just waiting for him to find what he was looking for: (a relationship with christ) after he found that relationship God sent him, her. "thats why he put you in my way" etc. beautiful isnt it.
