  • you know what's miserable? seeing master people like this cut hair beautifully and then going around your neighborhood to find out you can not get a hair cut like this in any saloon. this pisses me off:(

  • Why do you make everything so complicated. It's a basic haircut for god's sake! Post something worthwhile. You have creativity but don't try and 'con' young hairdressers.

  • ... i had this hair cut like 89 times, and it's never what i've asked for

i hate it for that reason lol

  • i'm confused, if she wanted a long layered cut, why did you cut so much length off?

  • So it's a bob... But with a long piece across the back...? Different...

  • That is a beautiful haircut! you're a master! It's hard for me to learn this technique.

  • this is really cool!! now im cutting the hair of my girls classmates

  • this is the worst layered haircut i have ever seen! i wouldnt dare do this to any of my clients. its like you just winged it . but nice going with the shears ;)

  • Amazin' bruuh. Thanks so much for taking the time to record and upload :D

  • I liked the finished haircut, but I have one serious question: Why the fuck did you not have your client drapped?!

  • you are every where....do u know what are u doing?

  • esta muy bueno y facil de entender gracias

  • thin hair same me

  • it's too difficult... :(

  • beautiful cut, babe! i'm doing a cut similar this on a friend tomorrow, i'm excited :D

  • best detailed instructions great JOB! tnx

  • He cut A LOT of her hair off. .....idk man. Well, I'm black so ig it's different

  • THE CLIENT IS PAYING US FOR KNOWLEDGE OF KNOWING WHAT NOT TO CUT

  • I subscriber

  • @MsTez2010 Great!

  • @MsTez2010 Awesome!

  • the way you move your scissors beautifully, i can tell that you're a master and the blending of the haircut, its awesome:)

  • @Binhdoeshair Thank you! Really appreciate the compliment.

  • @Binhdoeshair Bin, I liked this a lot. Could you please next time show the back of your work when finished>? Great job.

  • Great hair cut'

  • @tomnmt Thank you.

  • this looks hard

  • @texas0828 It can be a little challenging because of the concave based layers and the disconnect. However, give it a try on a mannequin head and see what happens.

  • bummer after it was cut, we don't really get to see the final look all that much. It would have been nice to see it worn straight after styling it, then curled & fluffy. All around too, front, side & back. You left out the most important part, showing off the results!!!

  • that is exactly how I want my hair cut. Can you come to Ky to cut my hair please? LOL

  • ew.

  • Now thats funky I like that!....Great job.

  • you should have shown picture of BACK at the end of the finished product!

  • This looked so uneven!!!!!

  • You gave me a few ideas, so I cut my hair, and I love it. It's better then any stylist has EVER done it.

  • LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome video!!!!

  • I don't understand what he means. I have been taught a totally different way at college - I had 3 tutors telling me different things and now here I am unable to cut hair cos I have no clue what I am doing.

  • If you're trying to cut your own hair .. this is NOT the video to view. His cutting style is hidden by angling the hair toward his chest, we can't see the actual cut. Again, another video with dark hair against a dark background, his tee in this case. This video would have been helpful in 3-D, in another universe.

  • IT'S EFFING EPIC....FREAKING LOVE IT

  • ... so not LONG hair! -_-

  • @mizcutiepielivzi it is long hair, not extremely long. her hair is not medium. :p

  • Hi

When doing this cut do the sides of the hair get pulled all the way back to the centre back of the head to the first cut? Also on top of the head is all the hair pulled up into the centre first cut again? Lastly, you cut the top of the hair with a centre parting. At the end of the cut the model had a side parting. By cutting a centre parting does this not affect the way the hair falls if the model wears her hair with a side parting?

Also can you do some more channel cutting please?

  • you are an amazing artist! your technique is precise and one of a kind! awesome video, thank you!

  • if only you could teach my stylist and all stylist in FLORIDA!

  • Major disaster in my hair.

  • WOW!! THANK U, THANK U, THANK YOU!!! I am currently in cosmo skool and it frustrates me because i want to learn diff techinques and i feel as if these teachers aren't passionate enough about hair and everything else they are teaching ... i am basically being brave and cutting ppls hair! thank goodness i have ppl who are risky enough to let me practice!!! THANKS AND I WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE VIDEOS! =)

  • This is my exact hair cut. I am a cosmetologist. You did a great video. Our job is not easy.lol!

I wanna do haircut of my younger sis... she has wavy hair and wants to retain length, also she has got volume in her hair, im confused about what layering shud i go for and what texturing do i need to do, her face shape is heart

    kindly reply !!!!!

  • @peecho86 @peecho86 Thank you for your question! We have posted this into a blog post on our blog. Please check out the Blog for your answer!: hairstylistblogger.blogspot.com

  • @thehairstylistblogtv hey thanks alot..... it really helped me, i created the shortest layer just at the length her neck starts at the front it came out below the cheek bones, it turned out to b fantastic as i was also able to retain the length

thanks for quick response... highly appreciated !!!!

  • @peecho86 This haircut here is advanced. try to look up 180 haircut. that is bringing up your sisters hair to the celing and cutting.

  • Thank you.....This is the best!!! My daughter is Asian and I cut her hair using this tutorial. Her hair style looks great.

  • Thank you! GREAT INFORMATION! I'm so sad because I live in a TN town and My My sister is a hair dresser so I'm familiar with the proper way of cutting hair. cannot find anyone knowing the proper way to cut layers in TN, I went to one of the schools and I figured out why. The teachers are teaching their students to cut the hair in layers straight across! Ah! so they leave people with a tier cut straight across all the way down (a stair look!) your video will help me the proper way to cut layers.

  • love the way u work ur shears

  • I can tell that's an exceptionally expensive scissors

  • i really love what u did to her hair..I"m willing to learn to cut hair coz this my hobby.. thanks to ur video i learn a lot..u have a

great job man.. you explain all the methods clearly..Can u make more video and deffrent style of hair...i wish i have all copy of vedeo

  • pretty cool methods sir!!!

  • i am happy this guy is trying and trying to show younger hairdressors some aspects. But from a senior hairdressors point of view this is no way to cut. The way he is hold ing the hair is wrong the angles are wrong . He is continuing to cut his base line everytime. Her hair is too thin to cut re cutting her base line and there are better ways to acheive a better look which are far more simpler. But again i am not putting down this hairdressor its great of him to show his skills and be proud !!!!!

  • please provide code for downloading this video, other than youtube downloader ..

please do so as early as possible.

  • wow, that was alot of work :(

  • Everytime I get a pay check I THINK I can afford to get my waist length aggravating hair cut but NO I never have enough $ I am sick of it I might just chop it off myself!

  • this poor girl will never be able to style her hair at home. The cut is so uneven...the stylist NEVER checked for eveness. She has two different haircuts and it will grow out poorly. The basics of cutting are being ignored and too many clients are unhappy because of it.

  • this is the BEST TUTORIAL IVE SEEN. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

  • @NIKOLEHERRERA88 Your Welcome! Thank you so much for your feedback.

  • @thehairstylistblogtv i no right the best OF the best

  • Love it! Taking this to show my stylist. This is the cut I want!

  • You should have had ur model wear white because it's to hard to see the bottom of the hair. Just a suggestion..nice work though!

  • @creativecolby

or he could've at least put a light colored cape on her for that reason as well as to keep the hair off of her & her clothes...y'know, like any other stylist would've done.

  • That's ugly. waste of time

  • ok i am sorry but no lol

  • this made no sense. haha

  • @twineno1 It's definitely a different kind of a twist on long layered based hair cut with a lot of weight removed from the bottom and slight disconnect. It would be a more personalized based designed, but give it a try and see what you come up with. If nothing else, there is a lesson to be learned in every cut you do; love it or hate it :) Thanks for watching!

  • What music was used in this video? The end bit is lovely.

  • @Alleymonefox The Faint. Best band EVER.

  • i cut my hair my self and it looked so much better....

  • Unfortunate! Every time he pulls out a section I see either a corner or long hairs. I understand there is disconnection in the haircut but there is a difference between intentional disconnection and lack of a quality haircut. This haircut shows unnecessary wight where there shouldn't be any. There are also better, easier ways to connect the layers.

  • do u cut ur own hair as well? if so, thats awesome!

  • nice.... easy to follow. and nice work on the head sheets. #subscribed

  • I am having a hard time fallowing a lot of what you are saying like connected through the disconnect, disconnect means removing yourself or something, taking it apart? Regardless her hair looks good....

  • wow! your awsome and talented!

  • Unfortunately there are many inexperienced hairdressers and hairdressers using the same technique, cutting all hair types without taking into account the singularity. The mistake, however, clipping leads inexorably to further aggravation and unwanted frizz. For example in the layering curly hair should be very light, otherwise you will end up with a very "nice cushion bean bag''

  • buddydavid1

Seems to me that you not only know what your doing but you also do it well question:

how wide should my section be, I have trouble find the guide?

  • nice cut!!!

  • omg I forgot about this song! I forget what it's called. it's a good thing my phone has the song ID in it it's called Glass Danse by the faint :D

  • lol i got so lost

  • It's the Rachel cut :)

  • Thanks for adding this video! I think it's great that you are showing exactly what needs to be done to get great layers! people are lazy now a days at the salon, and do it with razors and thinners, they don't do it by hand like this any more... wish you lived in the bay!

  • Hi Taylor, your work is awesome. How and where do you suggest I get a sharp pair of sciissors to do better slide cutting and, do you give personal sessions? buddydavid

  • hey thanks... Im a hairstylist also.. im always looking for new techniques that are helpful.. in my craft...Thank you again...

  • Wow! She looks really good, how long have you been doing hair for?

  • Make you date with naughty woman mworld5.info

  • Love the style of teaching on this video! Keep them comming, really great.

  • you are an artist!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can anyone help me ?

I want layers in my hair and stuff but I want to keep my hair length because short hair dosent look good on me . So I have a quesion can I get layers and keep the length ? Or it dosent work that way, because the model here; he hair got shorter then it was .

    Help ?!

  • @PriscilaVanityx The answer is YES! Due to the way this hair cut was layered in relationship to how long her hair was affected her length. Also the length of her hair was intended to be cut. There are many many ways to create volume, dimension, texture, etc. in your cut by adding layers and not affecting the length in any way. Just make sure everything you want is stated clearly with your stylist. If you don't feel comfortable with the consult, find someone who you do feel comfortable with!

  • @thehairstylistblogtv can you do an asian mullet?

  • @PriscilaVanityx you can always just get clasisc long layers that only affects the sides and front of the hair and not the back. If you have really long hair you can ask for long layers in a V. But to feel like you have alot of hair plain old long layer is great. This video is titled long layers and that is not what I would call these. This seems more like a long shag

  • @PriscilaVanityx you can get layers and still keep you length. just go to any salon and ask them you want layers but still keep the length. search online for a 180 degree cut. its usually done for layers with long hair.

  • Great job. Thank you!

  • I LIKE THIS METHOD.... GOING TO HAVE TO TRY THIS.

  • I got my hair cut with layers at Cost Cutters twice by using some idiotic method. My hair is naturally parted on one side and if I try to part it any other way my hair gets all weird because I have a cowlick which basically dictates where my part is, but despite this, for both my hair cuts, the hair dresser decided to part my hair in the center THEN layer my hair according to that part. What this did was make my hair lopsided after I switched it back to my natural part, it looked horrible.

  • Thats almost the same way i cut my hair. Instead i just make a shoe horse from temple to temply and all the hair inside that gets pulled straight up then blunt cut.

  • lol! it was not intrusting

  • awwe the faint. love them!

  • is there a diy at home version? =/ *smile

  • like it

  • you are awesome
