hey i updated to 2.2.1 and cant get service now...i have an unlock chip but i always had a problwm when i lost service...how do i unlock without the chip and without yellowsn0w

I restored my computer to the point right before I jailbroke my phone and reinstalled quickpwn and it work.
A coupe of day after that I droped my phone and it hit the floor very hard and it got stuck in recovery mode. I pluged in to itunes and it said I hade to restore it. I didnt want to restore my com again so what I did whas delete quickwn and reinstall it and to my suprise it work, I was able to jailbreake my phone again.
