Somebody help me please. I don't know what to eat! I'm a landscaper and I work very hard 8 to 12 hours a day and I don't have time to study and even if I did I wouldn't know where to start.
These videos just confuse me. I am 31 years old and just recently started to become interested in food. For every view there is a conflicting view. My friend is on the paleo diet and can't stress enough to me how important animal protein is for optimum health. Then I hear somewhere else that dairy is important and now I'm hearing that all I need is sugar, water, and sleep. I'm starting to think nobody knows anything and its all just preference.
What do you feel when you drive over a dog, cat, rat, deer or cow? What about if you drive over some fruit or rice?
99% of the paleo authors are fat and out of shape. The 1% are on steroids and face lifts. Take advice from people getting the results you desire, not the fatties or roided up meat heads in Malibu. ;)
@freetruth80 Everyone's body is different, so try different combinations of food, and find what works best for your body as far as the protein/plant/grain ratio goes. They all agree that staying away from highly processed foods is the first step.

What I heard him say was explain why a certain situation is the way it is in defense of his diet. I didn't hear him say that anybody who doesn't eat a vegan diet is an idiot or loser or anything. I heard him give examples of what others have said though. If you think that's insulting other people and being an elitist, I'd advise you to review those definitions.
@frodosauce I gotta call bs on that. @durianriders has his own personality, vibe & techniques. There are so many different web personalties/icons in the raw vegan community....most of them have more 'warm 'n fuzzy' personalities actually. I those folks too, for different reasons. One thing that is interesting: If glucose/glycogen is our body's preferred source of energy, then why do we have limited glycogen storage capacity but unlimited fat storage capacity? Why wouldn't we just have unlimited glycogen storage capacity? Does that have something to do with the fact that glucose yields only 4 calories per gram as opposed to fat yielding 9 calories per gram?
? about the cold, i think it would be a good idea to add spices to the diet, cinnamon, turmeric, cayenne peppers are excellent way, i got this from people who study raw foods w/ background on Qigong.

Warm food triggers the predator instinct, and cold leftovers the scavenger instinct. High sugar diet makes your liver produce excessive amounts of cholesterol. The healthiest looking people eat cooked food.
@msa1985 nah, it taste great, i use a vitamix, i usally blend in berries or apples. it taste even better. i have been eating 10-13 bananas a day plus melons, papayas, and mangos. this way of eating is amazing i am recooperating so fast, i have a whole host of health issue disappearing fast, and i am putting on lean muscle lean without barely lifting a finger. I am totally amaze by this!!

@alisez1 I went to the market today to hunt for ripe bananas and couldn't find any so I ask the store clerk if they have any really spotty ones. he wine up give me almost 10lbs of bananas for 2 us dollars and most of them were not even ripe enough. I crack up when i came home with a pile of bananas on the floor!!! :)

What is this obsession some people seem to have with "bulking you up"?? LOL! I do relate - I've had people say to me, "you're a skinny minny, eat some meat"!! Can you give me some raw vegan no fat salad dressing recipes for salads? That seems to be my downfall, I can't eat the greens plain, so I end up grabbing dressing with fat in it.

Sorry for replying to this even though the question isn't for me, but I get that question a lot as well (as an equal proportion of my diet is bananas as Harley's). Personally, I would respond that as you're so well nourished, your body doesn't make you crave stuff. After a good exercise, high-sugar fruits are so satisfying that you never want anything else, and it doesn't matter that it comes from bananas, because all your body wants is that energy.
