i wish i had born before he died.

  • American Dad brought me here.

  • The greatest singer, and wonderful actor, can't take your eyes off him.....this kind talent comes once in a lifetime.

  • SO ROMANTIC!!!

  • Been a fan of Bing since I was little. I'm 25 now and still love him. Best Singer EVER! Also one of the best actor who ever lived.

Wonderful recording from a romantic era in Hollywood. People with talent and class.

  • Lip-sync. We all wish we could serenade in person like this. But in life it only works in the movies. Or radio. The song is my favorite love song as it invokes romance in the lady's soul. But kids, don't try this at home. LOL

  • I wish to know her dress colors ! white or pink ?

  • ponies brought me here. for real.

  • @xscaralienx You read "Singing to the Moon" too right?

  • @ronodar It brought me here.

  • @mollysangelique Easy for you to say.

  • @mollysangelique zo zeg jij bent depressief...

    great song though!

  • its not the same anymore... today's "artists" can really learn from this. :,(

  • darn i wish this ome was the desert scene!!!

  • I'm a guy, and I'm "fallin in LOVE with the BING!" LOL!! Great song, thanks you young people for commenting well about this music, you are certainly headed in the right direction! Keep going! Peace!

  • Isn't she an absolute beauty?

  • this song is dope. randomly came across it, like those two "young ones" said (am i getting old?) this music truly takes talent. its not the amazingest song ever made but its better than anything post 1990 in my opinion. maybe more like 1960 actually, no idea when this was produced but i like it. so you should too! also check out this guys brother Bob Crosby and the Bobcats, who did a song called Way Back Home. thanks to the poster for providing this entertainment, kudos.

  • The line would stretch to the stars, where I'm sure Bing's beautiful voice is melting heavenly hearts.

  • If a guy ever sang a song like this to me I'd marry him right on the spot.

  • Maybe Edward can sing this to Bella.

  • Now These are real romance music videos, not degrading women like every rapper does

  • this is really fun to play on piano :)

  • I wish I was 14 again so people would care what I thought

  • @sweetsmcgrif Lol!! Thanks for the giggles before i hit the hay :+). I hear you: its like the 60s all over again, when the mantra was "Never trust anyone over 30"... // Seriously though, this is one of Bing's best: how could you ask for anything more romantic and well-sung than this??

  • Wow i am very honored to have one of the highest rated comments on such a beautiful song

  • What a gorgeous song to sing to a lady.

  • Who wants reality tv, when you can watch this? Now,,,, THIS is MY reality

  • why the fuck can i not share any videos to facebook??? i have 7 other choices of which i am not a part of

  • what an elegant Romeo!!! and what a velvet voice!!!!

  • What is it with you all guys? What this has to do with homosexuality? One could be a true man and listen to this music from time to time, for instance Bing is singing this song to a god damn beautiful girl!

  • I love the old cinema. Reminds me when I was 10 and I used to watch it with my parents. I specially love this song. Why anybody does any good film like this NOW???

  • From the days when singers had to have a voice, and movies had to have a plot. I love this song so much.

  • @Revinita Yes on the voice, not really on the plot. Many movies from the era have plots that are really quite terrible, especially the musicals. The musicals I'll forgive though, because we get to hear the wonderful voices of these wonderful singers ;-)

  • @Revinita Allow me to recommend Woody Allen, Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott as directors. Hmm.. Bjork, Amy Winehouse, Dido, Sarah Mclachlan, Michael Buble as singers.. The list goes on. You're just looking in the wrong places.

But I kind of see what you mean, the soft, velvety jazz and optimist view of older music died with the 60's-70's psychedelia music fad. Which is a shame, just, for future, if an artist ever tries to re-introduce optimistic music - buy their album.

  • dressed up ti goo dreeminz

  • Bing Crosby the greatest voice ever, how lucky we are for the musical and movie he left the world to enjoy forever!

  • this is real music not baby and Eenie meenie......it's relaxing and deep....and man i was born in the wrong era.....that is the period i should of been born

  • Thanks to youtube! God's gift to we romanticists! :)

  • I installed speakers in every room of my house playing almost 24/7 this kind of oldies music. Life becomes so much romantic, specially if you live with some one you love.

    - From Iran

  • Why can't anybody make a movie worth watching anymore? This is such an amazing film.

  • The attire is soft and classy.

  • Bing at his best performing one of his most beautiful ballads......

some really wonderful songs were written and composed in those fabulous 40's....!

  • awesome music :D

    (she's quite cheap) ;)

  • Sigh...so romantic...a palace...beautiful girl...full moon...nice suit...and a nice orchestra in the background on a sweet warm summer night...while we sing sweet nothings in our ladies ear....how many of us envision how this should be? I do.

  • One of my favorite movies. Bob, Bing and Dorothy are funny, sing good and look good--in that order! The Road movies also succeded because they allowed cinema viewers to enjoy exotic locales (ala Hollywood). The song is lovely and gently romantic--& I believe won a Academy Award. I love Hol.'s idea of the Middle East--a Scheherazade white confectioner's dream. That' part of the charm. I HAVE to have those divine white silk pillows the delectable Miss Lamour hops up from . A great movie.

  • After serenading her he punched her in the mouth

  • Is that the situation?

  • how can 6 people not like this?

  • @LoveLick7482 lol!

  • such man is unresistant . :)

  • So darn romantic *sigh*

  • This was Bing at his best.....and those wonderful songs that were custom taylored for him by some of the best song writers in the business. What a combination......!

    Those really were the days.....

  • Re- the "Moonlight Becomes You" clip featuring Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour: it's the same sequence that someone lifted from the 16mm film print of ROAD TO MOROCCO that I recently purchased. I'm sure it came from that print because it also includes the very end of the previous scene and the very beginning of the one following, both also missing from my film. The song happened to be a favorite of my late mother's, and I'd like very much to replace it. Help, anyone?

  • Drop dead beautiful women, what hair, what a face to sing to...how lucky can you get Bing..........

  • Is that natalie wood behind the other lady?

  • Gosh- what a great tune and what a wonderful performance. Thanks for this.

  • His singing makes my panties moist like a snack cake.

  • @primohomme Now, I don't know whether to be offended by your posting that very graphic account in a public forum--or laugh out loud! And Heh, who am I to tell someone not to be turned on by one of our best singers---

  • seriously why do kids these days say their age? to give false hope to other adults on youtube? i dont get it...

  • @samuelshepard They say their age because they want to stand out from the crowd, alienate themselves from conformity, even though there are a million other kids who do that. Trust me I would know, I'm 14. Crap, I just did it.

  • @guy12446 i'm 6

  • @guy12446 set your own standards, like what you like, and dance -always- to your own drummer. The crowd is just that. Don't let anyone tell you what you like, or what to listen to or what to read. Cultivate a love of good music, appreciate the genius and talent behind it, have wide and varied tastes, be open minded and tolerant of others, don't take yourself too seriously, and develop your own genius and talent. Sounds like, though you're young, you have lots of both.

    sorry-lecture over

  • Boys these days could learn a thing or two from Bing.

  • I'm 13... and I love this music!

  • im 16...... this musics the best.....sigh

  • @MrFraserFilms2009 totally awesome little dude, keep lovin the oldies they will never be "old" to us! :)

  • My grandparents used to listen to this song & I loved it as much as they did........Bing Crosby... what a marvelous gift he was blessed with..... that he turned around & gave to us!

  • yeah

i think i just saw two shirtless pot bellied arabs

  • A lost talent: gazing into each other's eyes on camera without being creepy. Oh, and the voice.

  • ah. nothing calms me down before college finals like the velvet voice of Bing. Nothing can beat him!

  • whatta ladies man.

  • now thats is music to my ear love Bing love Bing singing he was one of a kind, and will always love his music

  • Comment removed

  • The old crooner does it again

  • Im 13, and I LOOOOOVE That kind of Music ! Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and others ! Looove Just Looove !

  • SAd to say that as Bing aged, he took roles that either had a lot of outdoor scenes or a lot of bedroom scens, so he could wear a hat.....DerBingle was becoming DerBaldie

  • @miketallica665 how is that sad? welcome to aging in the '40s and '50s before Rogaine and other "miracle" growth formulas were around...balding was kind of part of the deal

  • Bing's crooning put him in a class all by himself.

  • What a voice. When listening to beautiful voices like this I always think about all the incredible singers through the ages whose talent is lost forever simply because recording equipment didn't exist when they were alive.

  • Mirror big enough? lol!

  • Wonderful, Thankyou !

  • thanks.

  • I love Dubstep... i EVER listen to Dubstep, ONLY Dubstep but sometimes i HAVE to listen to somethings like thees songs : )

  • I like his tie

  • I want a man to sing this to meeeee. XD lol One of the most romantic songs evvver.

  • That was a great movie

  • i am 14 and i prefer to listen to this than any song on the radio today like seriously this kind of music takes talent unlike kesha who just talks about getting drunk and stuff this music is so chill i love it

  • @Qsk8enjoi Plus the chicks in the video are hot.

  • @Qsk8enjoi If that's true, you have just shattered the Amero-European stereotype. Congratulations! You've developed taste!

  • @Qsk8enjoi Amen!! I, myself, am only 17, and I appreciate this music way more than anything that has been produced today. It's just not the same anymore.

  • @TheLovelyLeah94 Amen to you both im 12 and rather listen to this stuff than the music now

  • @TheLovelyLeah94 at least im not alone my friend

  • @TheLovelyLeah94 yo tambien amo a bing crosby me encanta su gran voz, yo tengo 20 años saludos

  • @TheLovelyLeah94 I sing this to my girl friend and she call me creepy, she single now

  • @TheLovelyLeah94 Well, believer it or not, I am only 13 and I love it just as much as you do and also agree with everything you said! Sigh... I miss these guys.

  • @Qsk8enjoi I'm 15

and you are the first person I have met that agrees with me <3 You made my day thankyou

  • @Qsk8enjoi lol i was heterosexual until I saw/heard bing too lol and thats 100% true. its all gone now haha

  • @Qsk8enjoi I am 17 too and I couldn't agree more :')

  • @Qsk8enjoi are we relatives or what?? :D

  • it is true that good music transcends generation. they can listen to bieber all they want. i'd stcik wit this. this is my jam!!!

  • Ah, I was wondering where romance went....apparently it went to youtube, cause it can't be found out in the world these days. Thanks so much for uploading this. :)

  • Oh, that is some first class crooning.

  • Excellent!

  • It's such a shame that over 90% of Bing Crosby's recordings on 78rpm records are practically worthless today. There were millions upon millions pressed and can still be easily found for a dollar or less. I have a fine collection of his 78s and no, they have no monetary value, but the music is timeless.

  • evergreen!

  • I like his double breasted suit!

  • Beautiful song and funny movie

  • 5 people missed the like button.

  • What's shakin, Dix?

  • I'm a heterosexual man, or at least I thought I was until I heard Crosby sing.

  • @Hapafull Don't lie, anyone who speaks positively about being homosexual like that cant be heterosexual.

  • @Hapafull Guess that makes you Bi then.

  • @wkunzelman1 Woah. His account no longer exists. I hope that's not my fault. :P He must have deleted it right after my comment, because now his comment no longer shows up. XP Now it makes me sound like I'm poking fun at someone. X_X

  • По-моему, Кросби - лучший эстрадный американский певец. Прекрасный голос.

  • I think the word "Dreamy" was made just for this man... *sigh*... what a voice...

  • @KsAmethyst I feel the same way! I absolutely melt at his voice.

  • I absolutely adore this song...THANK YOU!

  • This is absolutely gorgeous...that's when music meant something.

  • I remember seeing a tv special about Bing at some point in the last few years and one of the people interviewed was either one of his producers or possibly one of his writers and they mentioned that he never liked to say or sing the word "I Love You" and that this song with the line "If I said I love you" was as close as he ever came to actually saying that line in any song he ever recorded.

  • I have read somewhere that Bing's recording of this song was probably the most perfectly produced record of all time.

  • Great minds think alike ! (and so do ours :P).

Doesn't get any better than these three.

  • this song haunted me for years before i could find it again...i saw the movie when i was a girl...and the song just stayed with me.... i'm all smiles just seeing this again

  • There will never be another "crooner" the likes of Bing nor songs as beautiful as this one.....How many of you woman out there would love to be serenaded by your boyfriend or husband with this song!

Also - the "Road" movie which this song is from is a true classic and can brighten up any bad or sad mood......the theme song from this movie is also a wonderful classic and considered by many to be the best from Bing (both songs)

Movie : "The Road To Morocco" 1942.

  • I could listen to Bing sing all DAY!!

  • What can one say!, he was the ultimate crooner. Good to be reminded of the sadly lost art of romantic ballad singing.

Thank you for posting this gem.

  • he has such an amazing voice!

  • Crosby Sure had a great voice, the only time I get tired of it is around Christmas, when I have to listen to him singing "White Christmas" ten times a day on the radio. Haha

  • Love Bings voice!!

  • Comment removed

  • Bing Crosby is awesome.

  • Sigh.......Love him!

  • AHHH!!! I absolutely love Bing Crosby!!

  • I would totally be swooning! Bing Crosby, the epitome of talent and beauty!

  • I found an albam in a sale once of Bing Crosby songs this albam has songs like don't fence me in, pennies from heaven and monlight becomes you. I was so happy when I found it and listen to it all the time

  • Beautiful!

  • Bing Crosby is one of my favorite singers ever and Dorothy is a major character in many of my fantasies.

  • @thefantastikmrbone I loved your expression "major character"---I chuckled and shook my head. Thanks for the refreshing turn of phrase!!

  • wow

  • Bing Crosby is just so smooth.

  • This is from Road to Morocco; 1942 SMOOTH is the perfect adjective. Thanks Alex. Elegant is also accurate.

  • @MrAlexKeaton you can admire a man without sexual desires for him

  • In the original 1945 Sabrina movie starring Audrey Hepburn, there is a instrumental song that I love. It is played when David Larrabee(William Holden) and Elizabeth Tyson (Martha Hyer ) dance in the Larrabee party. Does anyone know the name? I already tried finding the soundtrack on the web, but have had no success. You can hear that song in my page:

Please What's the name of that song or melody? Thank you! Alan From Peru

  • i believe it was 'isn't it romantic' ?

  • "Isn't It Romantic?" which is heard in many Wilder films.

  • A timeless classic.

    Lamour is luscous.

    Crosby, perfect.

  • dorothys one hot babe

  • 8-> wonderful

  • As a kid I loved this movie and this song! When I was a kid, one was supposed to like either Bing or Frank. I liked both of them.

  • I'm partial to Frank's 1966 version on MOONLIGHT SINATRA.

  • Ahh those were the days. I'm definitely born too late

  • Hey, me too. Im bron in 1994, have to be born a few 70 years earlier :P

  • Great song & Dorothy Lamour...Hubba Hubba!!!!

  • kk i only found this song After watching american dad xD

  • Now this, THIS is music.

The other kids my age can listen to Souljaboy all they want, but I always come back to Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Dick Haymes. True geniuses.
