I'm an aspiring burner, hoping to make it to my first burn this year. I started attending festivals a few years back. The multitude of blessings I have received from the community pales in comparison to how I approach the world differently as a result of my time spent "on lot". Carrying forth the attitude imbued in me from festivals has resulted in an ever present air of whimsy that I bring to everyone I meet. The notion of multiple camps solidifies this notion even more. Love the explainationin the 10 minute section about the gifting. I have always felt that way myself but could never figure out why/could never explain it. But you nailed it. At first I almost felt (or saw guilt to some degree in others). But treating it in this new way of thinking...coming from "Affluent Camp" when sharing/gifting to a "Non-Affluent Camp"...really helps me. Am I uncommon in that feeling? Maybe it's just societal evolution. Another knowledge gift from John to me...thank you
