The christmas tree is really the Sacdred Oath and that night we burn a piece of Oath for the God and Goddes and and we put some fruits too for them. it's true, this song is often mistaken for a traditional christmas carol when really it is about a group of troll warriors who travel to small villages in the middle of december (funnily enough) not to bring presents or christmas cheer but to enslave and rape the villagers and burn their houses to the ground. The sound of the bells they wear on their armor can be heard for miles and instill fear in any nearby settlements.
