Photon, nice try in making this video a political issue. Actually the current drive to implement EHRs and the establishment of the ONC occurred under Bush (not exactly a "socialist" in anyone's imagination). This is historically a bipartisan issue. In addition, most docs have long realized that EHRs are needed, but have not implemented because of fears of workflow disruption and costs.
Certainly a boat-load of creativity in producing this bit. The sad part of the whole sham (MU) is the government dictated specifications on products, proffered with a large carrot ($) to doctors that adopt MU via an MU-certified EHR; where the incentives ($) are unfunded liabilities; resulting in a domesticated top-end of the medical profession (nice doggie, roll over for your cash incentive), more debt and the socialization of another industry. So Long America.
