@jcclark789 Sorry to take so long to reply. It has been a while since I had a chance to check in. The retract gear seems to be good for about 5 knots over most Long-EZ's. Some, with really nicely faired landing gear are just as fast. Interestingly, there are a couple of other advantages to the retract gear. One is roll rate. The other is landing management. With the unfaired gear extended, the airplane has a more "normal" in the pattern that the typical flat approaches flown by most Ez's
