  • Poor guy. When I was little I had one of these. His cheek bubble got stuck in the water filtration system and we had to shut off the aquarium, free him, and turn it back on, but he kept on getting sucked in because of his cheeks. He finally died one night, probably out of exhaustion of trying to free himself. I get really sad whenever I think about it. if youre thinking about getting one, BAD CHOICE

  • @Osagie014 it was almost two years ago but I REGRET NOTHING!

  • actually you could only call it "cruelty" if you don't have enough knowledge in raising such fishes, but if you're knowledgeable enough and responsible enough to take good care of these fishes, it certainly wouldn't be called " animal cruelty"

  • actually if you train them to be accustomed to hand feeding, food competition wouldn't be a problem. you could even manipulate the amount of food given to each one of them.

  • I want one but no pet stores that sell fish have them!

  • <3

  • I had a bubble eye fish once.He was so cute!but he died because his bubble eye got stuck in the filter im never getting one again He died the hour after i bought him D: breeding bubble fish is animal cruelty

  • i had a gold fish like this... i named it fat cheeks >(O'o'O)<

  • u know wat the outher fish think hes ugly while he is really cute :) my mom had a kitten and iot was the uglyeston of the litter but wen he got older he was super cute and not ugly X)

  • hes siu fu ! !

  • why do they have them?

  • Cute!

  • awwwww that must be pain full

  • This is cruelty. Same as breeding dogs inside-out with their head out their butt.

Most people just don't do any research at all before getting a living creature as a pet these days. Welcome To Disney Hell

  • This is cruelty... would you swim around with large bags in you face? Do not buy this fishes and support the industry.

  • @girenloland this is not cruelty indeed this kind of fish is already in the market and fishpond of chinese thousand years ago

  • POP IT!!!!!!!!

  • @via321ful WHAT THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH YOU !!!

  • omg, and look at that red cap oranda, his head was HUGE!

  • zomg i had one like 5 years ago and i popped its eye on accident while cleaning tank :S

  • your fish have got nice testicles, er I mean bubble eyes.

  • They really aren't as delicate as they look. Mine's 18 months old and has never had an issue. I'm careful to make sure they all get enough food, but I think he'd do pretty well by himself.. he just boggles the others out of the way and takes his share! He's an awesome fish!

  • wait, that's a breed??!! i thought it was an illness! p.s. i love the afro oranda!!!

  • That's so cute X3

and yea, I bet they were born like that

  • omg that is so weird! I'm kinda creeped out a bit :)

  • holy shit 3:19 that fish that swims buy has a huge fro

  • this is kinda weird. Are they BORN like that?

  • i used to have one. they die very easily.

  • how do u catch it with a net without poppign it? O.o

  • I bet, if you'd put them into an aquarium with 'normal' goldfishes, they would die within a few weeks, because they can't even swim in a normal way... They could not get enough food, since the normal fishes would eat everything, just before they could reach the surface of the water... Poor things... One should forbid this... >.>

  • are those the acual eyes/

  • that looks painful for the poor things :'(

  • poor fish is it naturally like that?

  • im sorry but dat 1 fucked up looking fish

  • Wow! Bubble eye fish look really cool. At least in my opinion.

  • im like tempted to pop that thing.......

  • i know thwat in "fish world" this fish are cool and cute but i think that they are really weird and NOT cute at all

  • so cute!!!

  • i got one! hehe black colour...with a bit of orange colour on it's belly ^^

  • AWW ITS SO CUTE!! What happens if its eye gets popped?? I'm gonna get one of these!!

  • It will heal in two weeks, if you keep the water clean.

  • @jingzhang88 What is wrong with it ?

  • @jingzhang88 how does it heal? :) this fish is so cool and cute :3

  • dont if you have fish that would be aggresive towards them cause some fish like to eat at their buuble eyes

  • That is truly terrifying.

I can only imagine what people would say if a dog were bred with eye sacks like that...

  • is it meant to be like that

  • nobabiesforyou, they are juste ridiculous lolll I want to take a needle and.... shhhhhhh no takl!!!!

  • @sanderrevan a needle lol

  • If it pops, it grows back.

  • is very beautful fabuloss

  • i WOULD NEVER BUY ONE.. THEYRE RIDICULOUSLY TERRIFYING

  • wat happens if it pops?

  • it pops

  • @Klonezeehx2 it grows back

  • the goldfish bubble eye are the most expensive breed of all goldfish specially when the bubble are big and perfect.

  • Is this a disease? I read that it was an actual breed of goldfish...

  • yea we'd stab your gut with a blade.

  • i swear the background song is from avatar!

  • @92dot9 It's a traditional chinese song. With traditional chinese instruments. What has American ethnocentric television done to you!?

  • I agree. When people breed animals with severe movement impairment, and something as delecate and prone to infection like these ridiculous eyes just for the novelty and claim to fame (having bred something new and different) it's just selfish.

  • @thistly Its a natural mutation.

  • @thistly I thought they were bred to always be looking at an empoer in China.

  • @thistly yeah it sucks for the fish to be like that

  • weird

  • ps: i like Fancy goldfish a lot but this form is to much for me its not etical anymore, outher species kan swim oke , this is kind of grotesk and couses the fish to much discomfort

  • I just wanna get a needle and pop it..

    I wont tho

  • They grow back, apparently.

  • Aww... i remember having a bubble eye goldfish named Bags.

  • hey

i have 3 bubble eyes and i want to get a couple of orandas. do you think it would be safe for me to put them in the smae tank?

  • I would say keep them apart..the orandas may try to peck at the "bubbles"..but iv never tried

  • that is a type of goldfish: personaly, these things are creepy

  • is this a disease?

  • my bubble eye has shredded fins with dark spots on them and cotton like growths under the gills help?hes gasping for air and floating on his side

  • He might have amnomnia, my fish died because of this. I recommend getting a nice size tank with a good filter. I'm planning on getting one today, 2 of my fish are still alive, just 1 died.

  • Sounds like she has 'ick' you can get ick medicine at any pet show for a buck or two.

the medicine is called QuICK Cure. my betta had it and the medicine cleared it up in 5 days.

  • it's a breed of fish. "bubble eye" it's normal fo them its just liquid around the eye.

  • can he see? i hope poor thing

  • i used to have a bubble eye with a dorsel fin ... only regret was i had it with my turtles ... not my best idea ... i miss him =(

  • isent that a wise choise.........

  • are bubbles eyes fish eyes like extremely delecate?

  • Yes, they are. The desease always start from eyes.

  • @jingzhang88

    ALWAYS FROM THE EEEEYYES

  • Comment removed

  • i agree with ojin333 but the wee fat fish is so funny

  • aww. its so cute. i used to have some just like that! ^_^

  • i never seen a bubble goldfish bubble that big!

  • i had a gold fish with the puffed eyes and my tigger fish ripped out one of the eyes killing it right when it ripped it out!

  • *takes out a needle* pop pop pop O_o

  • love the guzheng music

  • I'm getting a bubble eye soon

    I'm very excited

I'll have a bubble eye and a black moor

  • are the fish actually like that its not a genetic disorder or something those eyes are big and bubbly

  • I believe it was a mutation brought about when the goldfish was being selectively bred on a mass scale in China, Japan and Korea. They are bred from a subclass of carp wich is prone to mutation under certain water conditions.

  • mostley China did mass production in this variatie, the been breeding mutaions or fancy goldfish for ages now, Japans hase the most beutiful ones, there more strickt in kulling/ selecting of the fish, and have strickt bloodlines mostley, China is way more comercial whit fishm aldo the have some nice exemples, most fish we see on youtube are the better ones

  • thats sick

  • you goldfish are beautiful!

  • you can see the paracites in its stomich.

  • its got balls on its face

  • beautiful goldfish

  • i just got mine today...and i feel so irresponsible becuase i never think shit like this through. his name is lars and he gives off sad vibes. he's in a tiny bowl....maybe 1/4 gallon. poor thing. how can i plase my lars?

  • If you want to please lars you can get a tiny goldfish so he can have a friend feed him twice a day (once in morning once at night)

put a small figurine in their for him to swim around! and if you don't have rocks fish always like rocks

  • i got him a big 3 gallon tank! he has rocks, fake plants, and a figurine.

    nothing pointy...and he's happy!

i only feed him once a day though....should i doubt it?

  • Well you can feed lars once a day but i'd prefer 2 a day

  • When he's grown he will need at least a 15 gallon if just alone.

  • how did you get it?

  • From flea market and pet store.

  • I have a bubble eye goldfish his name is Bubbles! he is hot!!!!!!!!

  • My bubble eye died :( . Poor guy .

  • OH i'm sorry how did he die?

  • feel sorry for that goldfish..

  • weerd

  • how do fish get bubble eyes?

  • has to be born with em. a species called bubble eye. PetSmart carries them.

  • just wondering is it safe to share a fish tank with all sorts of goldfish. or will they attack each other!

  • Goldfish do not attach other fish, so it is safe to put them in the same tank.

If it is possible, you should put same type and size of fish in one tank, because they require different water, space and food condition. I put them together for video taking.

  • kk thanx :)

  • goldfish can be in the same tank but just dont mix goldfish with other fish the goldfish are non agressive and if you mix the rong fish it could be agressive or simi agressive either way it coul hurt ur non agressive fish. also if a tank is to crouded it isnt safe for the fish.

  • thanx

  • errr that fish is dying

  • steroid eyes

  • kung fu hustle was a great movie i reccomend watching it if u havent seen it and nice song by the way

  • does that hurt?

  • The music reminds me on Kung Fu Hustle^^

  • there not buuble eyes? well they are obviously, but propper bubble eyes look like lionheads but these are like a cross between fantails and bubble eyes, there the same sshape as a fantail but with bubbles? did you breed these yourself coz you got rare fish there.

  • they are bubble eye goldfish so i dont no what your thinking of maybe you thing of da 1s with the big eyes

  • they look like frog but in fish form lol..

  • I guess it has four air bladders?? Lol.... cool fish?

  • say what you like i think they are really cute im hopeing to get one...somewhare?its sooo hard to find a good petshop in dublin

  • Well they can't be found in petshops since there rarer and not as popular, find in yellowbook or something to find a fish breeder near you!

  • I found one across the street from my house,AT PETSMART.Sorry, accidental capslock, anyways I dunno about dublin, but if a commercialized chain store has it.Its probably not that rare

  • I got mine from PetSmart.. stop being dumb xD.

  • well oops...

  • how annoying 4 the poor thing.... :/

  • Lol and gross if it poped! :S!

And I didn't watch the video befcause somethings fucking ym computer! SO MAD!

  • if you have these kinds of "bubble eyed" fish in your tank, make sure there are no sharp objects that can puncture them

  • yuk this isnt cute its horreble!!!!!!!!how can u think that its cute! do you know what that little goldfish has to feel when it has big bubbles under its eyes!!!!!!!

  • Kinda freaked me out...but interesting too.

  • like idiot

  • its the cheeks not the eyes

  • yep defiatly overcrowded not good for the fish.

keep your eye on the ammonia nitrate and nitrite level.

  • pop his eyes ! jk.. its so cute!!!!! x

  • The Bubbles are more durable than they look...they're filled with fluid, not air. Even if they pop, they often grow back.

  • ????? so is it supose to be like a fish can pop it ama put 1 in my oscar tank
