I was leaving the cancelled fireworks in Algonac on the 2nd, after being re-routed and stuck in traffic for over an hour, was heading south on M-29 in New Baltimore. I saw one amber colored orb below the clouds....it was still there when I arrived to my home in chesterfield 15-20 minutes later. There were no flickering lights and it seemed to either be stationary or moving very slowly. NO WAY was it a chinese lantern!

I normally don't comment on these alarming sightings but , I have been studying them for the pass 7 yrs and as of 2010 the sighting are @ high !! and this recording is 100% REAL ! how do I know that ? because I have many of the same sightings , these beings are all over earth and the thing that they can do , is some thing right out of syfy! all the videos that I have collected are just like this one @ least 80% of them are . they can be right in front of you and you would not know it.

I don't believe that the objects are actually moving so abruptly, rather it is relative movement caused by the camera being hand held and therefore unsteady. The answer was in fact already posted: CHINESE LANTERNS!!!! (you know, those paper bags with candles in them causing the bag to float in the air, glowing in the night sky!) That answer is entirely plausible and in fact no UFO's were present. (Other than the fact that they were floating and unidentified by the person filming.)

You are pointing directly at Detroit Metro Airport. I would presume that since a HUGE storm with gusts of over 100 km/h came through just before this video, many planes were in a holding pattern and waiting for clearance to land. NOT UFO's

I'm really not that good at math , but . at 3:21 you can see a light come into view right near the peak of the bridge . obv this video is shot from quite some distance , the lights are behind the bridge , it covers allot of ground in only a few seconds , I'm gonna say minimum 50 Km an hour , at those speeds it would be tilting side to side (if it was a lantern) and the flame would burn that cheep paper like no ones bizz . and yes the "lantern" would be traveling with the wind ,

We were in Algonac Michigan around 8:30pm July 2, 2011 just after the very torrential rains and saw one orange glowing object fly around, no noise and we were all in shock just watching it. We were all joking that it was a UFO. It circled then flew north until we couldnt see it anymore.

I was in Detroit last night for the Tigers game. Left the park around 9 pm after the downpour let up a little bit. I'm a huge UFO buff and would have surely been excited about this "event." Well technically you're right, they ARE ufo's, since none of us can 100% identify what they are...

Anyways, I've never personally made Chinese lanterns, but I think if you used different colored tissue paper for the sides of the balloon, you could easily create a multi-colored 'flickering' effect.

If you google "paper mache lanterns" and pull up the images, you'll see what I mean.
