Very good stuff man. You definitely felling it. I'm playing some psyche stuff too but on bass and I love to watch others who have similar feeling of psychedelic playing. Keep up!
sorry it took so long. hope you're still out there. try using 3 fingers on strings 3-2-1 on any 3 frets going up the neck. You can use the open D as a bass if you want and pinch all of them at one or pick them. Very easy and it sounds exotic. I think it is mostly just a suspended 4th with a different bass note.
excellnt sir, That was very good .can you tell me some recordings that have a similar "psychedelic jazz" sound such as this because i don't think there is a psychedelic jazz genre
I just did not know what else to call it... it is not really rock, jazz, ambient, but some elements of all these and the "psychedelic" bit refers to the randomness, the hint of old 60s-70s progressive rock, plus the visuals....
Thanks for the comment. Good question. In a way it just came out -- an amalgamation of styles I have learned over 30+ years. There are some basic rock licks, but I tried to deviate from the usual rock sound. The delay effect gives that spacy effect. It is easy to throw some jazzy sounding chords together when you are playing alone -- just do a lot of maj7 and 13th and stuff. There is no real order -- I guess you need a bit of imagination. Also a lot of tremolos, slides... (cont.)
continuing... Some of it is just your basic light folk rock with 1st position chords, then going into the jazzy chords (sometimes if you just barr 3 string it sound like a jazz chord even if you don't know what you're doing). The lead solo lines follow your basic minor pentatonic scales, like rock, but you can move freely up and down becuase you don't have to worry about chord progressions. Some might call this "experimental jazz" because it has no real order. Some notes I lingered on....
to make it "ambient" or minimalist or whatever. Some people might notice that I stole that final phrase from RUSH 2112. Of course Alex Leifson is a great one to study becuase he cab do all of this and much more, and about 100 times better....:)

Thanks a lot. I haven't got too many compliments so far -- I just started doing videos. All the stuff is made up on the spot, pretty much.
