  • WHen i open 10+ programs on my "PC" it says (Warning your about to open alot of programs which may slow down your system)

  • windows no ma linux sì

  • wow thats the wonders of a mac

  • Wow. This is pretty nice. I doubt my SL running Macbook could do this too, but maybe it can.

I'm really pleased with Spaces since I found out some useful tricks, like using Expose while in Spaces, or holding shift and moving a window to another space to take all other windows with it (really useful for Office for Mac, since it has that awful formatting pane window that you'd otherwise have to move along with the main window). And having Spaces active doesn't cause any slowdown!

  • @BlizzardFenrir it should be able to do that unless your macbook is a lower end older model like mine, but then again i haven't tried this out on my macbook yet.

  • Some people like working on cars, and in the end they most likely have the most kick-ass cars... I like knowing how things work... Windows gave me that power... I was always fixing XP, at first it pissed me off ... after some time it because like a game "puzzle" and the sick part is I liked it.... I like solving complex problems... it's fun for me all thanks to Windows XP, now I can fix any thing wrong on a computer ... There you go something you didn't know...

  • You could also build a Hackintosh as well...

Linux is easy to use, and Windows 7 rocks... if you want something harder to use that would be BSD... There are many ways to get Mac OS to run on standard PC's however Apple doesn't like people doing... but I don't think they are going to be at my door with they cops.

  • You can run Linux, Windows, and Mac OS on an HP / PC ...

For half the price of an Mac.

  • @maw88ify yeah but materials and hardware of a mac is fairly superior to that of a personal computer :) in my opinion though. personally. i would never buy a laptop to run mac os x, because mac book pro owns laptop if you compare them in EVERYTHING.

  • @Lelhion

Laptops ya they have nice looking laptop , but how many people are buying Desktops from Apple?

I would bring up the problems they have with DVD drive, and how cd's get stuck in the slot all the time... or the fact they can't natively run 3DS Max or many of the Architectural Software made by Autodesk or most of the industry standard software out there with out running Boot-camp, or parallels, crossover or virtual software ... but ya they are pretty :D

  • and Linux comes with the Expose plug-in... So video's like this do show me anything worth having that I couldn't just get for free in Linux ... Plus Compiz Fusion has way better effects for free.. If you want to pay for something you could get for free ... go for it's most likely your Mom and Dads money any how... Mostly Kids use Mac... but Pixar uses Linux, Mac, and Windows...

  • Yes but my point is that Linux will run on a standard PC / non-Apple computer and Linux is a unix-like OS just like Mac OS.. Linux is free... Mac OS is not free...The hardware is is over priced as well...

Mac OS gets Malware I have found.... :( My point is unchanged Mac have no software that is high end that is exclusively made for Mac OS... the only one it has is Final Cut Pro ... Mean you could just run Windows and Linux... There is no point to having a Mac... A.K.A. Fisher Price Computer

  • No even that music could make this video less crappy...lol

  • can you tell me the name of this song?

  • Vmware cannot run games. The emulated video card is crappy, it only now can run the 3d elements of the OS.

Most mac users are so stupid. Im embarrassed to tell people i use mac. But at least its a hack...

  • lol same here ^

  • @roblob321 yeah i agree the only way to even have games be playable is through boot camp, if you have a decent enough graphics card.

    i can play tf2 so i'm happy!

  • mac is d best use it and then reply

  • wrong mac can play all windows games and apps so u got OWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bootcamp or vmware idiot research then talk

  • really? can it because i have been looking for a good flight sim for my mac but theyr all windows

  • Yes, really. I believe you've heard of Intel. I believe you've heard of a Mac. I believe you've heard of the Intel switch in 2006? I BELIEVE YOU'VE HEARD OF BOOTCAMP. Hello? Windows??? Common sense which you apparently do not have?

  • alright m8 chil the fuck out, computing isnt my whole life, jesus if i wanted to be slagged off i would have called you a cunt or something instead of asking a simple question.

  • the whole big argument is about the OS not the computer, any retard could see that the hardware can run it but its the OS that cant.

  • Um, Linux does this for about £500 (Mac hardware) + £25 (OS) less than a Mac PC does.

If you want to play Windows games, use Windows. Simple.

  • Lack of decent graphics hardware on most Macs makes them incompatible with visually intense games, such as Crysis: Warhead. Windows emulation/running Windows natively to run games is useless if the hardware is obsolete (seriously, an nVidia 9400 Mobile GPU driving a 21.5" screen @ 1920x1080 in a desktop computer?). On top of that all, emulating Windows through VMWare costs extra resources, which the system cannot spare if a 3D game has to be run.

  • You're apparently stupid if you think a stock mid range computer will run games that not many computer users really care about.

  • Mac OS it's self can not run all Windows games

you are using Windows, making the Mac OS pointless to have...

The Mac OS doesn't get viruses, but you still need Windows and the Windows OS can get viruses even if it's on a Mac...

Linux is free and doesn't get viruses, it runs on all PC's...

and Linux can run VirtualBox that is free... Or vmWare...

And Mac OS, and Windows both can run in Linux on vmWare on almost any PC made in the last 10 years.

  • @Unbox2Review But Mac OS can NOT play all Window's games ...

If Windows is so bad of an OS than why do Mactards always bring up the fact that they can run Windows to when a fight ? Sounds to me that the only reason to buy a Mac is to be able run Bootcamp ,and FCP .

Now if I want a OS that doesn't get viruses I can just run Linux Mint OS that is free. I have vmware , and virtualbox both for Linux ... So what is the point of getting a Mac ? There is NONE .

  • I have never heard of it. Where can you buy that at? Seems like consumers tend to push for Apple or Windows because it is way over rated. I love Apple but even it has it's flaws, such as a lot of programs don't work with it for one.

  • uh maybe you pressssss ummmmmmm f11

  • and if you have two moniters its like 32 spaces

  • 16 spaces

  • That's why I don't understand some Windows

users rather die defending Vista is the best out

there. An Intel Dual Core Mac still works better

than an Intel Quad Core Windows, even with

BootCamp on running XP with Windows Games!!

  • is it possible to run high-graphic games like crysis via bootcamp?

  • WOW My Vista would have crashed at 15 seconds

  • probably not, they are just simple text folders, not really intensive applications

  • My laptop is equipped with only 1gb of ram. After loading Vista, I can't open but one browser, my virus protector, and MSN. If I tried to load anything else, my system crashes. I know it's because I need more ram.But still, it's annoying that they would make an OS that requires 1gb of ram to operate and only give you 1gb in your system. That leaves nothing for the other stuff to run on.

  • 4 gigs of ram is only about 50 bucks, and it should really help and its easy to install

but yes, vista is a resource hog

  • Great music!

Can we get the name of the song?

once you try mac...you never go back!!!

  • amen

  • wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • beast.

  • haha, great test, especially with the music behind! Well done.

  • :) MAC FTW

W i nostri Mac!!

  • certo che mac ha una grafica spettacolare!!!!!!!

  • a me no piace molto usare space, proprio perchè stressa troppo la macchina..

  • di chi è la musica?

  • Don't Get It Twisted - Gwen Stefani

  • grazie socci.

ps:SCUSA L'IGNORANZA MA X INSTALLARE LEOPARD SE LO VOLESSI DOVREI COMPRARE UN ALTRO COMPUTER?

  • Sicuramente Mac =)

Leopard e in generale Mac OS X teoricamente funziona solo su computer Apple.

  • you could of chose a better song,

  • I have a macbook pro and I have opened every application at once, Including photoshop. illustrator and aperture. It slowed down a bit but still ran fine. Apple builds amazing computers.

  • @tomcattmatt Lol my old pc couldn't even handle 4 apps at once... so glad i switched to mac

  • @maybellin94 Yes there you said it you a comparing an OLD pc vs a NEW Mac that cost two times as much ... Doesn't sound like a fair fight to me, but that's how all Mac users fight dirty . A fair fight would be a Mac and PC that cost the same... I would bet money the PC would have better spec's .

  • Try unix it does all that crap with the nice touch of Compiz and it runs smooth. I noticed loads of lag. I got that to work on a bsd shell with 1.7Ghz AMD with 512mb of ram.

  • Where is your video?

  • the lag is from him holding the shift key for slow motion.

  • There was a little lag, like when he dragged the desktop around. But that's to be expected, when it has to reallocate the RAM to that function. After that, it'll run smoothly until you do other things for a while.

  • it was a goddamn beta

  • I have a MBP 2,4 ghz and i've only one thing to say.....I love may MAC...I tried with 16 spaces and it works awsome....

  • Did pretty nice, I have Leopard but haven't done something like this myself yet.

  • That isn't really amazing if you know what he's doing... and realize that having 2GB of RAM while running like only half that total in memory. Remember t takes almost no RAM to open a file and view it's contents. If he ran every application like he could have, it would have been more impressive...

    Leopard still rocks though

  • Bellissimo :-)

  • If you don't write the specification of the computer, the video is useless. Is it a MacPro? or a G4 iBook?

  • It's a MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16GHZ with 2GB of RAM

  • I would be surprised if the performances were different.

Someone should instead test Leo with G4s.

  • I will probably test it in a MacMini G4/1.25GHZ

  • What's the video RAM?

  • is leopard out yet?! ah im excited!

  • No, the rumors say that it will be relased on 26th October...

  • lol, nope not yet. but its coming!!

not sure about the exact date but i believe its October 26th.

"Leopard will be released at the end of the first month of a fiscal quarter (Oct. 26, 2007).

  • nice

  • I love it! Thanks! :D
