I know a lot of people don't like the black album because it's softer and more mainstream than the previous albums. Personally I didn't like the albums from the 90's, but then I started listening more to the songs out of curiosity, and now i really like them. But hey man, that's just me. I like it when a band explores more than one side of their musical talent.

@skiiddo Lol. In the end it comes to taste. As sort of heavy blues albums, Load and ReLoad are the shit. They're portrayed as shit simply because it was a drastic turn, and in the wrong (from a SNAP MY NECK perspective) direction. St.Anger slightly sped up and with tuned down drums could help you with the neck issue tho, plus Death Magnetic is on the level of the first four BESIDES the crap production. Cheers

The band says that Metallica isnt about the length of the members hair; but thats not true, because they obviously went WAY downhill once they cut their hair - dont get me wrong, I even fucking love Load AND Re-load, but I will be the first to admit that they have lost a lot of their live touch since Jason left, and since St Anger came out.
