  • @FGalaxie what is your problem with Americans? You've made rude comments against plenty of American statements. Have you ever been to our country? If not you have no right to bash us or especially make statements like "Americans have no culture". Rossi didn't just live in America, he was born in America, and his heritage is Italian. That's what our country is, people who are made up of heritages because we came from all parts of the world. Your statements are false my angry friend.

  • Since all of our goals came from our midfielders, I wonder how well the US would have done in the World Cup 2010 if we had Rossi. I'd like to think we'd beat Ghana and Uruguay but fall to Netherlands, but I may just be dreaming haha!

  • @metalkrush77 i wonder what your genetic make up is.

    Do you even know?

Or are you the typical genetic morass Yank?

  • 1) He moved back to Italy when he was a child and his parents are Italian

    2) Does anyone know how many players we're currently 'stealing' from our countries who just choose to play for us because they're guaranteed a spot? Jermaine Jones would never have played for us if he had gotten into the German team. Same with Williams, Chandler, and many many others.

  • I was born and have lived my whole life in Australia, and I'm only half Italian but i would be eligible to play for Italy as well as Australia if i was good enough and if i ever had the chance to be a regular for Italy I'd choose them over Australia any day.

To the people saying they would play for the US instead of their country of heritage, you didn't take into account that Italy is one of the greatest football nations whereas for example Ireland isn't that much better than the US if at all.

  • if i was him i would rather play for italy too.. there a much better team

  • he did not seem happy giving that interview in english, i reckon the Italians have some banter with him about being an italian american! however in the case of should he be playing for italy or america i completely understand his decision, my father is italian and growing up my earliest memory is staying up to watch italy and ac milan games on rai uno, i grew up watchin Italian football and in this sense im very much italian!!... and rossi began at parma and played youths for italy, no betrayl!

  • For the love of Christ most US soccer fans don't give a shit. We have Clint Dempsey who is better than him. I mean he didn't even make the World Cup Roster.

  • @Konformation07

Climp DEMPSEY better than GIUESEPPE ROSSI? better stick to baseball, son.

  • @Konformation07

are you retarted. they play different positions. dempsey is a midfeilder. rossi is a striker different position

  • @kumar01234 Dempsey slides up to striker from time to time. Especially without Davies, Bradley pushes him up round the 70th minute to striker and brings on Holden or someone else.

  • why the fuck would he play for the States guys??? lets face it , in Italy for soccer he has more opportunity to flourish and actually win titles, The US won't win shit, not to mention he is italian-first generation American so it's natural for him to have a very close connection with Italy. Serie A is one of the top leagues in the world, and the MLA i'm sorry to say is a joke, and for the National team why play for a bottom team when you can play for a world class team!

  • weirdo with a capital WANKER

  • Rossi should be playing for the USA he grew up in jersey...

  • @solf08 He has ITALIAN BLOOD.

    more important than america

  • THIS DUDE IS LIVING EVERY ITALIAN AMERICAN LIL BOYS DREAM!@!!!!!!! BEING BORN IN AMERICA PLAYIN FOR AZZURI LUCKY HIM

  • It's hard for American fans to understand because citizenship in the US is considered by location of birth, whereas the rest of the world looks at the parents and the blood.

  • he is American

  • @windiardi

He is Italian. Balotelli is African. And Ozil is Turkish. And you are a piece of shit. Do we have an understanding?

  • @windiardi with Italian blood, under italian law he can be Italian too.

WHERE ARE ALL THE AMERICAN INDIAN PLAYERS IN THE AMERICAN NATIONAL TEAM? THEY ARE THE REAL AMERICANS. FUNNY HOW THEY DONT PLAY FOR THE COUNTRY.

  • really love to HATE on this guy.first class traitor in my book lol i just read an article about him. he was born & raised in jersey till he was 13 & then went off to italy to play soccer, but he lives & breathes red white & blue. idk why he just wont show some patriotism & play for his country. he even talks with a jersey accent! ugh it aggrivates me. but oh well, Italy left the 2010 WC in disgrace while USA wrote themselves an epic story. suck it Rossi LOL even tho ur super hot & super good

  • @livexthexlife192 he chose to play for his culture.

    Which the USA has none.

a tub of yoghurt has more culture than america.

  • @metalkrush77 loll a little harsh, but its okay, i think hes a traitor too.

  • EGYPR WOOOOOOOO I'M FROM THERE lol

  • @metalkrush77 wow bro ur a fucking asshole thats cruel what u just said thats insulting to me on what u said such as as a "wop" go die bastard u makin fun of an italian u makin fun of all of us

  • My bad it's *pezzo di merda not pedaso WTF....lol.

  • @USABEAST93 LMFAO :D

  • Haha world cup dreams terminated!!!!!! You frikin pedaso di merda!!!!

  • All in all, he chose to play for Italy, because they have a better football team. If he was a hockey player, he'd play for U.S.. He chose Italy because it's a better chance to win, simple. Stop trying to justify how his parents are Italian or where he grew up. People want fame, and playing footy, he's going to get it in Italy not USA.

  • @pastolie

thats not why at all. If Italy were just as poor a team as US I would choose Italy.

  • Let's an Italian kid from Milan grew up idolizing Michael Jordan and moved to the US to play high school basketball; he plays well, goes to Duke or North Carolina, plays well, gets drafted, and becomes an NBA All-Star. Then the Olympics comes up. He turns down the Italian demand that he join the Italian team; instead, he tries his best to make the US team. Can we blame him for wanting to play alongside LeBron and Kobe and say he's just as good as them?

  • @eebumssuk A real competor would want to play against them and make a name for himself. If you wanna talk basketball lets talk. Lebron James took a shit on the Cavs and the entire state of Ohio so he could join other stars and 'win'. The Cavs, like the United States, did a lot for Lebron and this Rossi then got nothing in return. So yes, I can blame them. I'm a first generation American, if I had the chance, I'd choose the Stars and Stripes.

  • @whydelilah08 He moved back to Italy as a child. Also, do you know how many players we're currently 'stealing' from other countries who have never lived here? We must have gotten at least 5 players from Germany who only chose to play for us because they're not sure if they would ever get into the German squad.

  • i love you rossi. like him, i am italian-american..family is from italy, so i know how it feels. i support him 100%. forza italia. spero che difendiamo il nostro titolo! :)

  • @yankeesfan726

    Forza Azzurri! : )

  • HE BASICALLY GREW UP IN ITALY. HE SPENT HIS YOUNGER YEARS IN PARMA BEFORE HE WENT TO MAN U

americans are only JEALOUS because they don't have better players.

  • Chau Americans, just play your favourite american football which the rest of world will not watch except for AMERICANS.

  • im not to sure why everyone from america is mad at giuseppe rossi for picking to play for italy, hes italian because his family is. If he lived in china you think it would make sense if he played for china

  • Exactly!!

  • @mrforzaitalia u don't see onewu play for kenya even though his mom is from there do u ?

  • @mrforzaitalia he lived in the USA, ur logic would mean we should be mad. ur justifying our anger

  • @Danigomez92 so what if he lived in the usa? he also lives in spain now.....does that mean the spanish are mad?.....his family originally lived in italy too......your anger is pointless and ridicules cause it has no real cause....typical american reactions...anger when there is no reason for it.....rossi is a grown ass man he is 23 years old, and he has played with italy since he was atleast 16 and its always been his dream so get of his nuts, dick rider

  • @redcomet2010 Listen, im simply saying this. If your born somewhere and grow up in that area and are taught your trade in that country. Thats where you play. Im colombian, my parents are from there but I was born here. My parents came here for my benefit and as a repayment to "MY" country I will play for them if i was a proffesional footballer of course. I would not say " EHH IM COLOMBIAN" and leave and go play for a country i barely kno. Rossi watches the fucking yankees for gods sake.

  • @Danigomez92 WHy should he play for the Wasp states of America?

If you arent a WASP you are never truly appreciated anyway.

    Like those black athletes.

  • @mrforzaitalia Yeah my family is Irish and I live in America I wouldn't play for Ireland. He was a US youth product and born here. He turned his back on us and I hope he goes nowhere in life.

  • @whydelilah08 youth us prodouct?! no thanks!! he got the italian talent... he plays CALCIO and not SOCCER.

  • @davidecmr Where did he international play his youth football genius? And if you want to get into a petty vocabulary argument its called FOOTBALL not CALCIO. So go take a hike beatoff

  • @whydelilah08 CALCIO is the italian word to say football my friend!!He's back in italy when he was 12. Try to guess where his genetic comes from? Abruzzo! That is an Italian place. Rossi Giuseppe is one of the most typical italian name ever; is like to say James Smith in UK, or Juan Garcia in the US - Rossi never thought at all to play for US. His story, is the story of an Italian boy, not the story of a landless like you.He was always in italy during the summer holidays also when he was child

  • @davidecmr Yeah no shit Calicio means football. In our country its soccer so I don't see your argument there, people call it different names all over the world you stiff. He was born where again, The United States of America, he was the poster child for youth football or calico or soccer in America, not Italy. His name can be Musolini for I care but he is as much of an American as the next person. I spend my summers on holiday but you don't see me playing football for them.

  • And yes, he did take serious thought into playing for the US team. Oh well he missed the World Cup and I can't wait till he bails on you guys too.

  • @whydelilah08 Unless youre a wasp or jew, its not your country anyway.

the people in control just let you work for it.

  • he sounds like an american..lol

  • he is

  • His family's heritage is Italian!!

  • thats because he grew up in america.

  • yeah i know he was born in New Jersey

  • As a US fan I originally hated Rossi but over the past month or so Ive actually begun to like him and I actually believe he does like and root for the US, second to italy of course

  • @DaPhils of course! I like & support Rossi, but I wish he was playing for the USA

  • he can always come back to the USA if he wants to and he could actually help the states cause for a respectable finish in the world cup

  • He wouldn't be able to play for the USA though because he has already played for Italy in a non-friendly game.

  • 5-0 jeje

  • u guys dont know crap about soccer.first of all the national team has to want you to go on.get scouted by either the land u live in or ur background country.america didnt want him so italy took him and he turned out to do great and no america regrets not taking him.and why would u play for america anyway where soccer is like the fourth most popular sport.and for u chris partida.italy is not a third world country.its among the most beautiful in the world.america is more of a third world country.

  • THE USA WANTED HIM...

    read it on wikipedia

  • HERO!

  • Yea all u guys that dont like him playin for italy and think he should of went to us are stupid as fuck..chrispartida u would rather play for the place u live in instead of ur race? stupid and plus he should deffently play for a country that has soccer as a major sport instead of the united states..he made a very good choice

  • agreed 100%

  • Dam right I would rather play for the place I live than my ANCESTRY, not race but ancestry... An example of a race would be humans. I am an american, born and raised in this beautiful country.

  • forza rossi

doing a great job in italia

  • This guy is a fucking idiot, he is a great player and he chose the land of his ancestry instead of his nationality. Dumb ethnic fuck, I myself am a Mexican American, my parents don't know a word of english and I have lived a very latino childhood but if I was an awesome soccer player and I can choose between Mexico and USa it would no doubt be USA, we live in this country. It is the rgeatest nation on gods green earth! Fuck you Rossi!!!! We dont need you, play for that third world country.

  • Comment removed

  • I think whether one selects their home or their ancestral roots is a question of personal preference, it may have also been his family's wish. Regardless of that as a footballer he has a much greater chance of earning major honours for Italy and... Italy isn't a third world country, I'm not sure where you heard that, or was that meant to be a joke?

  • yes, an exaggeration

  • well italy is not a third world country you are quite ignorant (fiat just bought chrysler)...he grow up as a footballer in italy so ther's nothing bad if he choosed the italian team

  • I still agree with myself 100 percent!

  • he will regret later not playing for usa but we dont need that lil bitch we have a lot of young good talents in america

  • fuck that nigga

  • TRADITORE!
