God how i miss old disney world and old disney rides, the new ones are just not magical to me. i am so mad they get rid of the old rides and shows, why couldn't they just build new stuff elsewhere like in another state!
DEPRESSING- This was Epcot when it was Epcot. Perhaps the worlds fair idea is now dated but im thankful to have expirenced it while it lasted. Nice post.
I was very young when this ride was still operating, but I still remember this and much of the old Epcot as being TRULY awesome. It was relatively educational, too! Not like today's commercialized mumbo-jumbo.
Just another example of a great ride that Disney World closed down. The new test track is ok, but as with many of the new rides to long of a wait and too little of a ride! thanks for the post
There was an upstairs lounge in World of Motion. It was right above the main entrance behind the dark tinted windows you can see at the beginning of this video. Could anyone go up there or was it VIP/employee only?
at times they had it opened, my family was there when they opened it for guest one day when gm was there and had the lounge the view was totally amazing
This is a classic. Thanks for the video. I remember riding w.o.m. as often as I could when I new its days were numbered. I think This ride would have stayed if epcot wasen't so limited on space. Something had to go. And I do like test track.

If they brought back all of the old rides with technological upgrades, then Epcot would be my favorite of the parks

Did this ride have a caveman who had burned his foot and showed him blowing on his foot? Was there a sort of 3D light show coming at you at the end?
infancysguard 3 years ago
yes he burned his foot by walking so much i do believe it was towards the begining of the ride

I agree! The new generations tend to sacrifice what was educational for adrenaline! How could they eliminate the movie at the Living Seas?

That VIP lounge is still there today, and was has the same ground rules as before, only VIP/employees of Disney and GM can visit the lounge.

I rode this for the first time in December 1982. Although I love Test Track, this was a great ride.
