  • how can you dislike such beautiful music

  • flawless tremolo technique and cool hair on this guy.

  • i just saw this guy perform this weekend hes pretty damn good

  • i didn't know David Luiz played guitar so well

  • @Gonzaga78 ¬¬

  • What a gorgeous interpretation

  • his guitar is alhambra 11p, one of the best models on the market... Mine is an alhambra iberia, which has cedar top, mahogany sides&back and rosewood fretboard, certainly not the most expensive woods

  • Thanks for the beautiful execution. So many guitarists have attempted this, but only few have taken it so high. Cheers,

Felicitaciones Johanes. Happy 2012

  • 57 persons loves justin biber

  • perfect! can't wait to hear you in concert in a few weeks

  • Amazing*******

  • PROUD TO BE SWEDISH!

  • Perfecto.

I'm from Granada, the city where is the Alhambra.

  • All paints is used by this player! :) He is not only talented but mostly can feel and gift the feelings to the listeners. Thanks, Johannes!

  • superbe !

  • fascinated and thanks

  • 52 people that were so excited from this, that their hands were shaking and missed the like button and hit dislike instead!

  • @grantyboy1007 No, they simply did not like it ... I wonder why people always write this kind of stupid comments ...

  • i found a CD, Johannes Moller Plays Spanish Music with this on it, but it doesn't sound the same, not as full and lush, nice, but a little slower.

  • Is this on a DVD by Johannes? i can't find it on Amazon.

  • Beautiful

  • The comparison to Pepe Romero must be taken as a compliment, but I prefer Johannes version.

  • @oldfogiebp me too, it's perfect.

  • Eres Looooooooooooooooooooooccccccooooooooooooooo vato!

  • i love this music very much

  • How on earth can 50+ people dislike this?

I mean even if he plays not perfect,I'll bet every one who pressed dislike, couldn't play for toffee.

  • @robert140602 I agree entirely. Perhaps they are brain dead? Or no heart!

  • fabulous magnificent performance. Very nicely interpreted. Such a class act! This man has a special rare talent. I absolutely love his changes of tone and dynamics. Utterly beautiful.

  • perfect!

  • wonderful! :-)

and _don't_ get a newer guitar!

you just see that somebody has really worked with it ;)

  • Isn't he the son of Edward Longshanks in "Braveheart"????...

  • Amazing playing, good guitar sound!

  • Dynamics control is AMAZING! Tremolo is consistent and "glimmery". But the dynamic control makes this performance memorable.

  • Muy buena técnica!! Bravo!!!

  • I wish I'd were like you...

  • q lindo

  • Brilliant!

  • watch?v=ctVmNbVu2KA

  • how does finger work to play this song... ive tried but its hard..

  • Lacks some of the grace and flow of Pepe Romero, but then again, everybody lacks the grace and flow of Pepe Romero. Didn't I phrase that comment so gracefully, so it flowed right into your soul? Yes, I did.

  • very nice indeed. Bravo. Unusually brittle tone but I sure like it as a change from the norm.

  • The best performance ever

  • you tube com /watch?v=k8v-LlAx148&feature=channel_video_title

  • nice speed

  • best version...

  • it is nice to hear this piece not as an estudio but as a truly melodical composition. Excellent Johannes

  • Excelente interpretación!

  • I've played this on my piano.

  • maaaan!!! you rule!!

  • A very good interpretation of this tune. Loved every minute of it and marked as favourite!!

  • napolean dynamite sure can rock a nylon

  • Is one of the best performances of this piece. Really clean and good interpretation. I think is difficult to make music on a piece like this that basically is a technical piece. Very very good...se you soon MAESTRO!!!

    Alessio Benvenuti

  • IT IS DAVID LUIZ OF CHELSEA OMFG

  • OMG!!!! It's David Luiz!!!!!

  • Muuuuuuy buena interpretación. Saludos desde Yucatán, México!

  • I have an old one which has been appraised at $62,000 ... I'll never be able to find a buyer - especially one who can play better than the sound of a plug nickel plopped on a rotten barrel head. The matter is truly what you do with what you've got. I have added this video to my playlist. My mother loves it !!!

  • real masters dont use cutaways -.- this guy kicks ass!

  • that guys got some currly ass hair and some incredible ass tremelo

  • Hervorragende Interpretation. An diesem Stück sind schon viele gescheitert.

Aber der Johannes, der kann es.

  • chuck norris play better

  • wew...wew...wew...keritingzzzz....nice hair ;))

  • he tremolo with the pinky as well...

    thats crazy man!

  • nice hair :)

  • There are just so many simply astounding guitar players today, the arrival of youtube mearly reinforces that it is virtually impossible to say who is your favourite. I always liked John Williams, then I discovered Ana Vidovich and now I tune into this guy. I just want to say, if you have this sort of God given talent please carry on playing and allowing us to hear you, personally speaking you make my day every time I hear music like this.

Also check out Astorius by Albeniz.

  • @bigtorrisi correction

    its asturias

  • Too great

  • plastic guitar, technical interpretation..no good

  • He is very very good. But he was even better on " The Blue Lagoon"

  • @BluesGee Of course its a personal thing, but it helps distinguish phrases, also playing next to the bridge makes the treble sound more apart, remember playing tremolo is more like plying a violin, nice even sound not individual and apart.

  • Pedryle są wśród nas.

  • No pedał normalnie...

  • No pedał normalnie...

  • what?, is david bisba playing guitar?

  • 02:05 "Mmmm, I'm enjoying all the delicious sweet notes."

  • I like the Goddess hair style. Not bad playing. But check out Pepe Romero to hear a master.

  • @Boldstrummer come on man, he's a young dude, and plays really great. Romero however is more experienced, so he's supposed to play better.

  • @Boldstrummer Absolutely. Pepe's right hand is the reference as far as Recuerdos de la Alhambra is concerned.

  • Your nose is too close to the sky all the time. True music isn't about perfection, it's about sharing feelings and moments. That's what some people always get wrong.

I love his tone, his dynamics, his flow.

  • His hand is to close to the bridge all the time, he can work on his right hand tone

  • @Nonix321 it's really a personal choice.. perhaps he prefers the bright tone produced by playing near the bridge?

  • Near the bridge it sounds like a really clasical spanish guitar, I think.

  • pefect in performance!- just get a newer guitar.

  • @Dalmenco

    buy him one!

  • @Dalmenco Old guitars sounds better tha´n new guitar belive me :)

  • @Dalmenco actually older classical guitars give off better sound and thats why he has that one.

  • @Dalmenco new guitars never sound as nice, as a guitar that's been played on for years - their sound develops over the years - so please don't get a newer guitar ;-)

  • @nvee00lugic he wins GFA 1 year ago no? or im confuse?

  • @Dalmenco It may look a little vintage but it sounds and plays perfect for me.

  • @Dalmenco Guitars sound better the more you play them :P

  • @Dalmenco

Older the better IMHO, like scotch. Stradivarius volins are played by only the best performers and sell for millions. They're from the 1700s.

  • very nice dynamics, but still i dont like his right hand..

  • He plays it beautiful, really, the song makes me cry ; ____ ;

    W O N D E R F U L

  • Watching johannes and listening to this exquisite creation is a religious or more accurately, a truly spiritual experience for me.

  • bwahahahahahah......

  • johannes81 -- Is this on an LP and/or CD? thank you, so lovely.

  • Yes, yes, this is the rendition I like, this is the way I like to hear it ! muy bonita !

  • brillante, verdaderamente hermoso, gran guitarrista he interprete!! felicidades!!

  • One of the best performances of Recuerdos I've ever heard; excellent dynamics. And... congratulations.

  • Carrot-top rules!!!

  • i never knew napoleon dynamite played guitar

  • Yeah, brilliantly played, but let's not forget the genius that composed it - TARREGA.

  • @BarriosGroupie tarrega was far from a genious. he just made very catchy music. buttt regondi was a great genious. sor was also a genious along with mertz

  • @sir1920 perhaps you're right, certainly when compared to someone like Albeniz or Granados.

  • Clearly I need to man up and grow a set of finger nail

  • Almost the best version on the net, diminuendos, pauses, pianissimos, excellent tempo. A lack of maturity only.

  • No, don't slow it down! Perfectly timed. See Jim Greeninger's version; perfect too. But Narciso Yepes ran through it like fernando Alonso on a high! I like the John Williams version recorded in La Alhambra Palace.

  • very good interpretation, although a little bit nervous...

  • strnge (sorry) but seeing from my spanish eyes a german playing this is a little bit weird, weird but fortunate, great player

  • @logonazo - He isn't German, he's Swedish

  • Time to practise

  • Too fast old chap ! Relax and slow it up

  • @turnipcheeks Heeeeeeell no, it will get very boring if he slows it down. I think this i a perfect speed to play this piece in

  • all is in the bow tie

  • Napoleon Dynamite???

  • Wow! Now I'd like to see Justin Bieber sing and dance to this.

  • I like the piece ! but I prefer his acting !

wasn't this guy on Frasier, the sitcom, I think his name on the show was Kirby

  • This kinda "music" is lame xD! No idea how I ended up here =P -laugh-

  • @Druesaft94 : You obviously have never played guitar in your life... Tremolo is THE technique wich confirms mastery of the instrument. This musician plays it almost in a flawless matter.

I'm sorry your parents never taught you good taste.

  • @Druesaft94 Yeah, you should back to watching your justin bieber and miley cyrus videos.

  • Extremely talented, no doubt. My daughter is now working on the Recuerdos and sounds almost like Xuefei or at least to the indulgent ear of her father.... Just kidding, you too are extremely talented Labenti. But I will have to say, it's all there in this rendition, perhaps only Narcisco's performance would surpass this

  • i think its his hair style, the flow of the piece is stolted, unforgiveable to the listener.

  • Amazing rendition

  • can i download this mp3 somewhere?u.u i love this interpretation xD

  • hello, i would like why dose this piece called la Alhambra ...thanx for sharing

  • Thank you for uploading quality tremolo !!! There are too much shi* players with false tremolo and top comments of ones that really don't understand f****** tremolo ! xD

  • Awesome dance music listen youtube.com/watch?v=ZutsW1xhyA4

  • Excelente!!!

  • love ya hair and playing XD !!!

  • well played. amazing performance

  • Why are we scared to state true comments in the effect of hurting or offending other musicians. I agree with MrGuitarpete, the boy needs to work on his tremolo. Not that it is totally an ugly interpretation, but being a teacher for some years, I can tell this boy needs to focus on this piece much more. This piece is not just an encore piece, but a masterpiece. There is way more meaning and understanding in this piece. Johannes, WORK ON IT!

  • @elduendecillo07

and @elduendecillo07 , show us your video response, or STFU! too many pretending d-bags on utube who talks crap and have nothing to back it up. show us how it should be rendered then, this your uber awesome tremolo and whatnot.

  • @pootubeftw

This guy's really good but he is not the best . I think if he puts some more emotion into this song, it would be much better. I can't say I'm better but playing the guitar is this guy's job. If want to get noticed or get any credit, he has to be the best.

If you want to see what I mean, listen to Jim Greeninger or Oh Seung Kook

  • @MUSlC1213

the issue here is not whether he is "the best", since there are no such thing. the sooner you learn this, the better. enjoy it for what it is, and especially, you are not really in a position to judge others playing, considering you are just an amateur like the rest on youtube. do you really think he's not allready credited or noticed since his video is on youtube? i dont think he cares a shit about being the best, thats a term for people like you giving comments on youtube.

  • @pootubeftw

Where can I find this imaginary world of your's where there is not such thing as "the best"? Here, as long as it is human nature to compare things, there's always going to the best. I am in the postion to judge because I am an audience. I can honestly say that Greeninger is leagues away from this guy. People will see him but not notice him. People won't give a shit about the 10th or the 5th. People will care about the 1st. Deny it if you want but this is reality.

  • im not the one denying, you are. there is no "the best" simply because everyone thinks differently and percieves reality and taste in alot of ways. when you get older you will understand this. YOU might care about the 1st (obviously considering your comments), but dont think everyone else does too just because you are. so what if greeninger is better? what does it matter?what relevance does ithave?none. if what youre saying is true, i really do feel sad for you inability to appreciate diversity

  • @pootubeftw

It's funny you acting all mature and know-it-all. Who's concert do you think people will go to? The best or the second best? Everyone percieves taste in different ways, yes but there is a common ground if you havent notice. More people appreciates Grenninger than this guy. Alot of people who thought this was good watched Greeninger and thought he was better

  • Perfection! Totally awesome.....

  • Perfect!!!

    congrats

  • hes hair is sexxi :P

  • You are amazing, sir!

  • Recuerdos del alambre.

  • sounds like f....ing squirrels...velocity isn't everything in a good tremolo

  • ¡Gracias Fran! Seguro que me ha levantado el ánimo.

  • This performance is magnificent!

  • if there's music in heaven must be like this

  • He may not be such an accurate performer but, MAN! He has style!

  • looks like napeleon dynamite lol

  • valderrama ajkajkakajka..

    seco el lokito la cago

  • dude is that napoleon dynamite??

  • if anyone enjoys this interpretation you should buy his cd of spanish music where he plays this piece even better, he is quite young here

  • This is really something special! The dynamics are great and it's not too rushed.

  • Is this not the guy who want to kill to bart simpson??? sorry my ingles is not very good lucking.

  • Very well done my friend, I loved your fluctuation on tempo (heart and soul) 'and wonderful dynamics. Really incredible work!!
