Cruise Missiles can fly below radar coverage, but that doesn't mean they can fly below urban or rural sky line. It flies at a particular altitude that can be tracked not only by AWACS platform but also by AESA radars. For example the F-18E/D with a AN/APG-79 AESA Radar and AIM-120 AAM can detect and engage a missile such as the Babur. Apart from that, we have long range Israeli 'Green Pine' and Rajendra Radar to track Babur. Radar technology is advancing day by day. So don't worry.

Read more about 'Al-Khalid' and post your comments. There is nothing indigenous with the MBT. Ukrainian tank green painted in Pakistan! Arjun is a good tank but the army's expectations are too high. Read about Americas 'Abrams' MBT. It's also suffering from technical snags. Remember, we are manufacturing tanks from scraps, not painting them. Arjun is a significant milestone in our technical experiment.

When it comes to cruise missiles, speed is NOT the issue; the range is cuz u cant detect them anyways. Even then speed differential is not much b/w Babur & Brahmos. Wetdreams will remain wet-dreams. 1)Cruise missiles are programmed to fly at a low altitude to avoid radar detection. But, airborne radar is quite capable of tracking cruise missiles.
2)The longer the range the more time in hand to detect, intercept and destroy the missile.
3)Speed matters, because great kinematic energy creates devastation.

1) U're contradicting ur own garbage. GLCM's main purpose is to fly below radar coverage; a lone AWACS cannot detect a cruise missile on its own; it has to be supported by an overlapping network of ESMs, SHORAD, HiMAD & THAAD defenses; until India perfects that, Babur is more effective than Brahmos.
2) The longer the range, MORE vulnerable targets deep inside enemy turf + the need for MORE air-defense units, equipment, etc.

Cruise Missiles can fly below radar coverage, but that doesn't mean they can fly below urban or rural sky line. It flies at a particular altitude that can be tracked not only by AWACS platform but also by AESA radars. For example the F-18E/D with a AN/APG-79 AESA Radar and AIM-120 AAM can detect and engage a missile such as the Babur. Apart from that, we have long range Israeli 'Green Pine' and Rajendra Radar to track Babur. Radar technology is advancing day by day. So don't worry.

AESA radars are not your fahers property, like youtube. Recently, the same US company asked Indian Air Force to supply APG-80 radars (with F-16-IN) under the MRCA deal along with ToT. APG-80 is much more powerful than your APG- 70 SERIES. It does not make any sense that India has no AWACS now. Are you plunging in to the battle right now? You may not rely on the efficiency of the 'Green Pine Radars',but you should rely on the battle proven Israeli technology that paralysed your brothers.

IF & WHEN the IAF buys any U.S. aircraft fitted with APG-80 we WILL see. Right now, its been 6yrs since Indians have been jst 'trying' to decide which aircraft to go for. India is FAR frm having any true GLCM killing capability. Israeli Green-Pines didnt battle GLCMs thrown at them by the Arabs, cuz none of the Arab states had any cruise-missiles of any sort. Thats why I said, quit copy-pasting mindlessly frm chat-rooms, etc to make urself look good & to desperately salvage ur hyper-inflated ego
