@garynysmon - do a google seach 'wales, brain drain'. Final year at school, everyone in science, engineering, medicine and finance left. Everyone in media studies, art, or those too cool for school, stayed.

In 1995, I'd have invested billions into Cardiff and Swansea universities - into their science and engineering dept's, offered grants for major corporations to go to Wales. I would have tried to replicate the Silicon Valley model (Google it). Alas, we have a government within a government.

I'd like to know how much money per year we waste on this bollox, i read a few years ago that Mike German has a house in Cardiff paid by tax payers cause he can't commute from Cwmbran and that a husband & wife had a similar house EACH cause they can't commute from Tredegar. how do they think ppl in the real world manage???

@ajuk1 It's not about if we can understand English or not is it? Most Dutch people can speak English too, but are you complaining about the use of Dutch on TV over there?

@garynysmon well yeah, Most not all Dutch people, the equivalent there would be reading it out also in English except more people would understand both, it seems to me like there's some sort of pretence that there are actually welsh people who can't understand English.
