Considering how often massive projects like these end up in perpetual "development hell" it's really impressive how smoothly this is moving along. And I can't wait for the skeptical Austinians to have their minds blown by what a huge, worldwide event his is going to be!
That's what I call Project management!!!! Awesome job!!!! If you need another engineer, just call me!!! I can't wait to be there!!! Moving Forward Team!!!!
I'm tired of watching these races at 7 am on speed, first hand will be simply amazing. I don't think F1 is ready for the mass of the US crowd that will show. Can't wait to be there!!
It took damn near 2 months to destroy our street, replace some sewer drains, and then re-pave the street. If the entire Circuit of the Americas can be completed in a year, they should have been able to do our stupid road in a week and a half... or less.
Actually, they've already started laying the road materials. Everything needed to host the race next year will be done but there's still other parts of the project they will still be working on, but just know that they are working furiously everyday.
How about a pic of turn #1? How steep is the climb, and will spectators be able to look down at the rest of the circuit? Can't wait, wanna go, if not certainly will watch all the coverage SpeedTV provides!
Thanks for providing these updates. I'm a big F1 fan living near Shreveport, LA so I'm planning on making it to Austin in the coming years to check out the venue. Keep up the good work guys.
Can't wait!

Pretty exhilarating to look a pile of dirt and know it's going to be a world class Formula 1 facility in just one year.

@rccardude04 Fixing your street won't bring millions and millions of money. Sorry. This is an International Affair.

@UnivoxMax Yup. It's still a very impressive feat to start and finish an entire circuit in a year on this scale.

I love how you keep us updated on the track's progress. I'll be there next year, no doubt about it!

What is the concrete structure for on :34?
cjm64productions 7 months ago
With as little rain as we've had this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the track is finished way ahead of time.
