I was wondering about bull terriers. I've got experience with bullies. They absolutely will not let go, and they are in fact totally without fear. Excellent dogs. And they are totally reliable with children. Hooray for bullies.

They are great working dogs. They are totally fearless and are silent on track or before a catch. They also don't keep on chewing on a pig once it's dead, although they might hump it. :)
Btw i like that reverse black and tan. i hunt 1/2 blackmouth, 1/4 mountain cur, and 1/4 bird dog. i have 7 of these pups like this and ive hunted em for two years and breedin the bird dog in them really helped but we hood hunt at night in oklahoma so they have to have a nose.

I have seen my catch dogs get gutted, throats cut, and jaws broken and thats all with cut vests and cut collars on. ppl under estimate the power of a big boar with 2 inch cutters. they can do a lota damage because ther solid muscle. i have had dogs get ther cut vests and collars cut completly off of them and had dogs die from gettin cut through the vests. puttin vests on them isnt a full proof thing. they have weak spots and corners that a pig can get his teeth under and cut a dog.

Are you familiar with the old Travel Channel show called Adventure Bound? They used a bull terrier as a hog dog, and in a later episode, they used a brace of bull terriers and a kangroo dog of deerhound extraction to do the work. These were the egg-head English dogs, not the Staffies.

i feel your loss!! when i was little i went hog huntin with my dad at least two or three time a week and we had this one dog named sugar. she was white with brown spots cur dog and people from all over town knew her because she was so good! she really did know how to find them and make them sit on there ass lol!yea she was great! a awsome pig dog and my Protector! then one morning i went to go put food in her bowl and it was full of rat poison and she was dead! RIP sugar you are so missed♥

We had a huntin' dog that died of poisoning. We found out later someone had poisoned rats. She'd eat anything she killed-- so it poisoned her. I wonder if your dog could have gotten ahold of a poinsoned rat or something.

Are you familiar with the old Travel Channel show called Adventure Bound? They used a bull terrier as a hog dog, and in a later episode, they used a brace of bull terriers and a kangroo dog of deerhound extraction to do the work. These were the egg-head English dogs, not the Staffies.
