Well last I checked SAAB isn't asian therefore not a ricer, realy I consider ricers to be cobled together cars via a maxed out pep boys card thats trying to emulate those retarded looking space ships that paul walker drives. The turbocharger on the GN's and GNX's were put there for maximum performance and not to make up needed driving power like SAAB's. It was big deal for the auto industry because most other manufacturers were not doing this yet

these cars can take an amazing amount of abuse(IF THATS WHAT U WANT) The G bodies are probably the the most versatile cars tht gm built in the late 80's along with the F bodies.The gn's came with parts a little different than the monte ss or the 442's. The GNX was just a totally different beast with a first gen ceramic turbo and torque bar and track bar rear suspension that did make the rear rise up when holding boost. Rated for the feds at 300hp the car actually made 405 from the factory
For what it's worth in 1987 the Regal came with three engines, a 245 hp turbo 3.8 V6, a 110 hp carbureted 3.8 V6 and a 148 hp carbureted 307 V8 which is an Oldsmobile engine. Same 307 was found in Cutlass, Delta 88, 98, etc. Durable engine, but not a powerful engine. They made very low torque and that was it. In fact a lot of G body cars with a 307 Olds V8 came with a 2.14 gear when equipped with a 3 speed TH200C. No that's not a typo either.

Not sure who can do the work but unless you're dead set on keeping it original I'd chuck that 307 and get a 455 or something. The 307's weren't good for power, but they were durable.

Never seen a t top gnx and when the car was a the staging lane and up on boost, the rear(ladder bar suspension ) end should of made the back of the car raise up. How do I know ? I have 3 buicks. Well last I checked SAAB isn't asian therefore not a ricer, realy I consider ricers to be cobled together cars via a maxed out pep boys card thats trying to emulate those retarded looking space ships that paul walker drives. The turbocharger on the GN's and GNX's were put there for maximum performance and not to make up needed driving power like SAAB's. It was big deal for the auto industry because most other manufacturers were not doing this yet

these cars can take an amazing amount of abuse(IF THATS WHAT U WANT) The G bodies are probably the the most versatile cars tht gm built in the late 80's along with the F bodies.The gn's came with parts a little different than the monte ss or the 442's. The GNX was just a totally different beast with a first gen ceramic turbo and torque bar and track bar rear suspension that did make the rear rise up when holding boost. Rated for the feds at 300hp the car actually made 405 from the factory

For what it's worth in 1987 the Regal came with three engines, a 245 hp turbo 3.8 V6, a 110 hp carbureted 3.8 V6 and a 148 hp carbureted 307 V8 which is an Oldsmobile engine. Same 307 was found in Cutlass, Delta 88, 98, etc. Durable engine, but not a powerful engine. They made very low torque and that was it. In fact a lot of G body cars with a 307 Olds V8 came with a 2.14 gear when equipped with a 3 speed TH200C. No that's not a typo either.

Not sure who can do the work but unless you're dead set on keeping it original I'd chuck that 307 and get a 455 or something. The 307's weren't good for power, but they were durable.

Well I'm pretty sure it's not a GNX but a clone.. Never seen a t top gnx and when the car was a the staging lane and up on boost, the rear(ladder bar suspension ) end should of made the back of the car raise up. How do I know ? I have 3 buicks. A gn, a turbo limited and a Gnx. Love the sound of a open dump tube .Nice car!

Youre right the GNX did not have T Tops. Find the video of Car and Driver review on GNX and they say it did not have T Tops or a sunroof.

Gnx 's never came with t tops . Also when you look at the staging lane when the gnx is up on boost, the rear end would make the car rise up. How do i know? I have A turbo limited ,a Gn and a gnx. Nice car though!Sounds good with the dump tube open.

It's not abuse to the car. Buick built the GNX as a muscle car and I'm pretty sure muscle cars are meant to be driven like this. Not sitting in a garage somewhere collecting dust. my dad owns a GNX and he takes amazing care of it but does smoke shows and drives it like it's supposed to be driven, you have fun in it. The GNX is an amazing car.
