Given the money anybody would choose it over GTR, and for the people who have it, make the obvious choice. So please be wise in commenting. Btw that 700bhp naturally aspirated, if you think about tuning a normal aspirated engine, you would know what im talking about....

@MiSSxxEMS TUNES is the key word. Stock GT-R is already at the limit of whats mechanically possible...tuning it additionally will hugely reduce its reliability. Take launch control for example...nissan themselves advise GT-R drivers not to use launch control too often...that tells a lot about their confidence in mechanics of the car. Its fast, no doubt, but Aventador is faster. Straight line or track, Aventador stock will beat it, and its a much better car, a supercar, not a tuned up Nissan.

@cardude1992 the 300+ kg compared to porsches is because of the fact lambo's always have that element of luxury in them. their potential buyers are not track bred racers instead they're fat rich guys. So they had quite a bit of thought before finishing the design.

@kinjat56 actually mate this is not a car to compare directly to the 1380 kg gt2 rs because it has an engine twice the size and it is a very large car compared to the porsche and it has a 4wd drive which light wieght porsches dont so this car is a marvel when compared to the similar size ferraris and jags and similar size supercars i mean a full carbon body it is fantastic

@cardude1992 I do think it would improve the chassis and improve handling, the weight shouldn't be an issue for a car of its size. take the Veyron for instance. 1880kg's and will easily outrun this car in no time. it's got 300hp more than Aventador. If you want it lighter you will probably end up with shit traction and take into consideration even being an AWD it may still have probs putting power to the road if it were too light. If you don't like it, do a stage 1 tune on it ! :D

@xReventonx actually i disagree about putting the power down. with todays engineering its no challenge. look at the ferrari enzo it has 650 hp and its very light and has rwd but still puts its power down really well. also take in account and pagani zonda f clubsport and aston one-77. they have as much power as the aventador but are rwd and much lighter but have no issue with putting power down. the fact the aventador is awd means that it would be able to put power down more effectively than all

@cardude1992 yeah thats true, but take in mind this is still the first gen of the lineup of more to come. They might end up been saving for more lightweight savings in the SV model, and/or facelift model.

Excellent review of the Aventador, beautifully shot in the rain, and the only professional one I've seen thus far. The British slang word "naff" he uses to describe the digital dashboard means "tacky." There is something...dare I say...Japanese about the Aventador's styling. The cues on the outside seem overdone, the tail lights could have been designed by Sony. There is an adolescent neato! factor to the car although I suppose Lambos have always been over the top. Quite sure I would love it tho
