But I think independence is an unrealistic goal to pursue, and potentially very dangerous - it is likely to provoke state repression and violence; so I think this is a bad idea. Much better and more realistic, in my opinion, is to press for greater civil rights (and perhaps regional autonomy) without a demand for independence.
