this is one of the best scenes in the movie i love mathis "do you want a sleeping pill? i have pills for everything...some make you taller... some make you forget" classic and so powerful because Bond needs to forget.
I think it's logical because in this one bond still thinks about vesper and their lost love, and I really appreciate that arnold brought back this theme
nice that arnold brought back vesper's theme from casino royale its probubly the first time that a bond score use themes from the previous film unlike past bond scores
i dont think john barry actully use themes from thunderball from russia with love mgm i think just tracked the music from the previous films like for example in from russia with love when bond ask for a hotel room in istanbel the bond theme that was used was tracked from dr no john barry didnt composed his own variation of the bond theme mgm recycled it from dr no but intresting point though
That's not what I meant. The themes from the latter two movies (rescored) were utilized within OHMSS. Pull up the scene wherein Lazenby is starting to pack up his desk after requesting withdrawal from MI6 - you'll hear them.
i understand what you meant i remember the scene in the film all im saying is that the themes from from russia with love and thunderball were not rescored by john barry mgm i think ripped the themes from the two movies and put it the scene where bond pack up his desk so i cant be sure if that counts useing themes from the previeus bond films apart from maybe the 007 theme that was used in from russia with love and later used in thunderball you only lived twice dimonds are forever and moonraker
also most movies these days tend to reused music from the previous instalments like spider-man 2 for example were sam rami the director reused the themes from the first spider-man film and the composer danny elfman had nothing to do with it
Is Mathis your cover name?
Yes.
Not a very good one,is it?

"It takes alot for a man to admit he was wrong"
What a great scene; I love how Mathis wasn't a villain after all.

This scene in the movie is one of the most powerful, I find. The undertones of "Vesper" make it all the more haunting.
