The actual tree used in the scenes from 'The War'

No joke. I just finished watching this movie like five minutes ago.

This tree was actually used in 'The War', an old Elijah Wood and Kevin Costner movie from back in 1994, not in 'Forrest Gump'. My in-laws have a home there in Carolina Shores, and though 'War' and 'Forrest' were shot at roughly the same time in Beaufort, they didn't share the tree. Sorry! :)

I can't remember exactly where it is, it's been a while since I went there. But we'll be going there for Christmas with the family, so I'll make sure to remember to ask my in-laws, I know they'll remember. :)

Wasn't the "Gump" tree taller. By taller I mean the height from the lowest branches to the ground.
