I was like that, too. I didn't read the book but my friends were obsessing over it so I decided to watch it. And after the movie, I loved it so much that I convinced my parents to by me the entire Twilight saga. And so they did and I loved the series even more and now I always watch the Twilight movies on their premier night. I'm a twilight fanatic now :D
I read the book and saw the movie. Many people complained that the movie was nothing like the book. But I don't care what they say, my reaction was just like yours, "wow". I was speechless too, and I couldn't go to sleep that night because I was thinking about the movie.

Twilight sucks, period. If you want to see a REAL, GOOD vampire movie, watch Blade or Underworld, not a movie that includes "teen vampires" and "romance"

you should definately read the books! I loved the movie also but the books are amazing and you'll just fall in love with Edward even more through the books and understand how deep their love is plus you'll want to read the other ones too after reading the first one cause they are addicting ! lol
