I call shenanigans. No way that's a wild raccoon. Either that’s a pet, or a “wild” raccoon that’s been intermingling with humans for so long that it’s domesticated. Also, its fur looks awfully clean and fluffy to be on a wild animal.
That's where you wash your hands, brush your teeth, wash your face and what not and u let a wild Raccoon that can carry any sorts of disease and have no idea where its been, what it touched and what it put in its mouth and you pet and rub ur hand all over his face? Not very smart in my opinion.
Please tell me you're joking about the raccoon being wild. It's adorable and I totally want to snuggle with my own raccoon friend, but hold the hydrophobia please!

if i saw that in my sink, the last thing i would do is pet it and let it bite me. i would close the door and call animal control.
