If I had an EJ25, I'd build the valve train for 9K RPM. I mean, when you have such a severely oversquare engine, a 7K redline just seems like a terrible waste. (99.5mm bore = huge valves)

but the crank is not designed to take such RPM, and the whole 2.5 motor is not race .. . . torque yeah but not built for racing it has so many set back my friend . . . but i would consider the the tomei crate 2,5

and would kill for the 2.2 crate

@nedalrabadi1 I gets what you're saying, but truthfully, the crank is fine. If it's forged, decently balanced, its just fine. If a stock Mazda V6 crank from 1993 can take 11K without an issue, then the STI unit will be jusssst fine :)

@imserious2187 They are very fast off the line. there fast when rolling compared to many cars but example: from a roll, a 350z is fasters because the AWD loses a lot of power.I did top speed of 148mph and the fuel shuts off. The car is amazing though. I will never trade it for anything

but mine is an 04 jdm swap on gc8 body

i raped 911's carrera and carrera S as well i love the jdm spec c motor it's way better than most cars and the 6MT has a perfect gear ratio it's really a killer . . . try and get in one of these

i upgraded my car but with illegal stuff... it makes a big differnce but anyways, i removed the turbo, put in a illegal super charger and a few other things that i wont say on here do to them being Illegal, but hopfully your car has gottan faster??

p.s. stock my car would max out at 160, and now believe it or not it maxes out at 190mph....

to be honest i like how you did most of the work yourself man, but u gotta fine tune that car, a 35r on an evo or sti with the right supporting mods should be 400+ hp on 91 octane, I personally have an evo with an fp red that made 385 dynojet hp in the middle of summer here in the desert in cali, need to get that on a dyno and fine tune it man. but sounds good, props on doin the work yourself.

0-60 in like 5sec 35sec to 40 its fast but with my mustang 5.0 i did 0-60 in 5.5sec and i juste have a b-303 cams a taylor fier kit, ram air, 3.55 gear trick flow injector 24lbs/h and a 75mm throttle body im almost stock

@Gauthier808i agree this sti is pretty slow, but im sure your mustang doesnt keep up with my wrx..ahah, and im running a much smaller turbo than this sti with a gt35, i do 0-95mph in 7.4 secs, lol and i just upgraded my injectors so i can run 4 psi more of boost and add another 50awhp probably 0-97or99mph in about 7.1-7.2secs and its only a 2.5liter :)

@brianjay42 its a built motor, a 35r and many other supporting mods, that motor can rev higher and the turbo will keep pulling til whenever he shifts, shifting earlier would do nothing and would slow it down. if it was a stock or any vf series turbo i might agree as they start to choke around 6500 but a 35r will spool all day and the built motor can take higher revs than even he shifted at
