What is with all the Disney hating videos?? People need to quit reading so far into things. Quite looking for "the bad" in everything. Old Disney and their movies are EXCELLENT on many levels! Would you rather have these "young impressionable children" watch New Disney's Miley Cyrus or some of the other smut on children's television??? NO!!! So quite dumping on everyone's childhood memories and just enjoy the freaking cartoons.

I agree. Lesbianism is the only way to defeat the straight stereotype, but Disney explained this in CINDERELLA, as the gay godmother tells her to "be gay! You're on the way! With a bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!"

In all fairness, in the time when these stories were written, there were few opportunities for women to "save themselves". Cinderella would have found it hard to get a job. The Snow White thing is written into the spell, though in the real story no one knows she has choked and the bit of apple gets dislodged when he kisses her. The Sleeping Beauty thing is also part of a spell.
