Just watched this movie. Very enjoyable, especially loved seeing Andy Robinson's character getting rubbed out by Joe Don Baker. He's like an evil Mickey Dolenz.

I've adored this movie since i've fitst seen over 25 years ago.Don Siegle is a true genius and Lalo Schifrin can be compared to Mozart or Chopin.Walter Mathau is the bomb and i'm glad Clint Eastwood decided not to play the part of Charley Varrick even though Mr Eastwood is an awesome actor.This movie is truly a gem and deserves it's place in the top 5 category of best crime thrillers of all time.

Charlie Varrick is flat out one of the top ten crime films a U.S. director ever turned out.  Maybe one of the top five. Name me ten better. Scene after scene after scene can be seen again and again and again. Nearly a flawless diamond.

PLUS it's one of tarantino's favourites and you can tell it has influenced him : KILL BILL 2 also has a violent confrontation set in a trailer (Uma thurman vs Darryl Hannah), not to mention the violent scene between Dennis Hopper and Chistopher Walken in the Tarantino-scripted TRUE ROMANCE.

Lalo Schifrin's score is so cool in this. The whole film is incredible, everything works and all the characters are badass.

Andrew Robinson is the best screen villan of all time in Dirty Harryt.. in my opinion Heath Ledger borrowed form Andrew for the joker. This movie is one I like to watch to cleanse my mind from todays overproduced garbage realistic effects and great character actors. Charlie Varrick

is way under rated in my opinion
