yea i got a 93 mustang i built and turbo'd it,i'm pushin right at 500 hp,and still gettin 23 mpg,but its not cheap and parts are very rare

My buddy recently got a 91 2.3 notch and dropped in a turbocoupe 2.3. Just got it running, sounds awesome. These cars are monsters.

i have a 1988 notch back that came with the 2.3 but i put the 5.0 in their.i didnt do nuthing to da 4banger cuz i reather have 8 cylinders.i didnt kno the 2.3 was so quick

I built a 2.3 turbo conversion for gas mileage and the cool turbo sounds, I had no Idea it would be as fast as it is! Next thing I know I'm putting in a performance head gasket and clutch! @ 20lbs. of boost, a fairly stock 2.3t will spin tires in 2nd. gear!!! I had to let out of the gas in 3rd getting on the freeway once because of it getting sideways.

are you talking about a supercoupe? you will never make 8 sec times from that unless you totally strip it and a engine swap.

If ford would have kept goin development on this, it would've eatin the Grand Nationals up. Ford killed it due to lack of sales over the v8 gt. (4k more than the gt). I had an 84 in 91 and loved it!!!

Ford is going to bring back a 4 Cyl turbo in their Mustang, called the Eco-Boost. And at the same time they are going to bring back the 5.0, and it will be packing around 400 hp.

the funny thing about these cars is that when they came out back in the 80s they were shunned by hotrodders no one wanted a 4 banger in a muscle car and they really were anemic on the drag strip, being more geared for the track its amazing what 20+ years of technology can do with a turbocharger!

why do a silly thing like that? build the rotary in that rx-7, it'll be a shit-lot faster than a piston motor, especially with a turbo.

i like rotaries a lot but i have a lot of experience with the ford 2.3 from stock car racing its actually pretty easy and cheap to build a pretty good motor. I really want a four rotor some day tho.

not sure if you ever built a rotary but for most the idea is scary. I have built rotary mazdas that run 10's but the seals don't last. Not really worth it.
