  • 速度太快, 趕住去投胎!

  • This peace is not easy at all. It holds many possibilities to sound silly.

  • one of the better lang lang interpretations

  • wwooooow cool

  • I prefer Hamelin's version -- my ear (which is subjective, of course) tells me Hamelin's dyamic shadings are sharper, crisper. Also, Hamelin has a better sense of narrative "drive" without necessarily playing faster. In fact, Lang may be playing a faster tempo, but somehow the pulse seems a bit flat.

I don't know . . . just an opinion. He's certainly a lot better than I could ever hope to be.

  • We just cannot play like him!

  • Well played, I don't like Lang Lang on some things but this is a very good interpetation.

  • Although i don't like Lang Lang, i agree that he is doing great here! The tone, the nuances and some surprises are awesome, and imho they all fit in Haydn's character! I just wouldn't rush so much, there's no need to rush at all.

  • Thank you Lang Lang for the great contribution and sacrifice that you have made to the world of piano.

I appreciate your unique perspective on Haydn - the same thing with Mozart and Beethoven. Your clarity, stability, evenness, sensitivity, dynamic rang and beauty of tone are a constant wonder to me.

I wish you the best in all of your future endeavours.

May God bless you and your own.

    Concerto35

  • Awesome! Thank you.

  • I am learning this piece right now, and have learned a lot from this lang lang video. He has helped me gain exitement for this piece because before it was a drag for me to play.

  • I rarely like LL's interpretations, but this one is absolutely superb!!!

  • I wonder why people focus the attention on Lang Lang face. Cover the video and listen and if you played piano at more than good levels, you will understand why his fame is going so impressive day by day. Haydn .. a simple song. But he makes it new with a really surprising interpretation. We know how much such songs risk to be so similar to a MIDI file :) So enjoy Lang Lang ! Bravo !

  • Hi, with simple I meant something like not as Scriabin or Rach....more soft and fluid. It was not a dislike at all !

I really believe we can not complain or judge his faces. He has a really mimical face and he can not help it. So ... I take the whole package ... faces too ;)

  • Check out Lang Lang's Widmung by Liszt on youtube. He supresses his facial expression. I think that's his latest video so far here on youtube.

  • True. His tone and clarity is amazing.

He is a musician not an actor so should really LISTEN rather than watching.

This piece may sound quite simple but not that simple.

    Really impressive.

  • I am currently learning this song and I find it very good for technical application. Played w/ the correct technique it is actually pretty simple.

  • Yeah. He plays it a bit fast at most fortes but great performance.

  • I've never heard this particular sonata before. Beautifully executed, thank you.

  • it is great!
